Yeah - I think they def intentionally misrepresented stuff. Agree the dude is a prick, but there wasn't anything there other than normal azzhole boss stuff, and they found the ppl with the biggest axes to grind to say stuff about him.

The drake stuff by the guy who was like an acting coach or something was the big salacious thing, but I think they sort of knew that ppl probably don't care enough to watch 5 hours above some nobody who rapped some child actor, so they had to spend 2-3 hours leading up to that and implying that Dan Schneider was going to be the rappist.
