U mad you lost the one member who intrigued outsiders enough to want to join and square off against?

You do realize winning in fantasy is like winning the special olympics, right? It's why Saalty never seems to lose when he's long been exposed as a complete retard about real life baseball.

In fact, I'd fully endorse you giving Saalty a run for his money in the league. Cheers!

Nah not really. It was nice playing with all grown ups this year. Didn't have to deal with temper tantrums like someone dropping all their players

We have 3 slots but have never kept 3. It's been talked about but I don't think there's much interest in doing 3.

Bro seriously negged. You don't even know the context of the situation so to come in here and immediately take Sally's word at face value pretty much solidifies you're a true piece of sh*t.

Looks like you all have another winner joining your ranks. I'm done with this group... enjoy the thread of "adults" too I guess.

Does anyone in here want to dispute what I said? Or even add more context.

Don't be mad bro. That's your legacy.

Love how the other 29 owners colluded to stop Cohen from spending big and he just doesn’t care.

what the ****?!

"

The overall numbers of the Mets’ spending spree continue to stagger. Assuming Correa’s contract pays him $26.25MM in each year of the deal, the Amazins’ payroll will now soar past the $377MM mark for 2023. Having already far surpassed the fourth and highest tier ($293MM) of Competitive Balance Tax penalties, New York is paying a 90% tax on every dollar spent beyond the $293MM threshold. That works out to roughly $23.62MM added to the Mets’ tax bill, thus putting their luxury tax number over $386MM.

"

To this end, one of baseball’s best shortstops in Correa now won’t even be a shortstop, as Correa will now move to third base in deference to Lindor. Correa won a Platinum Glove, Gold Glove, and Fielding Bible Award for his work at shortstop just in 2021, and his professional experience at third base consists of one game with the Astros’ Double-A affiliate in 2015. That said, Lindor is an excellent fielder in his own right, and the Outs Above Average and UZR/150 public metrics prefer his glovework at shortstop to Correa’s over the course of their careers. There isn’t much doubt that Correa should be able to translate well to the hot corner, thus improving the Mets’ defense as well as the impact he’ll bring to the lineup.

Mets just not giving a ****. At least they're putting all that $$ the fans spend into payroll and not their own pockets.

People will clown on the Mets when they inevitably fail but we all wish our teams owners went DGAF mode like this. Crazy they didn’t bring deGrom back in all this.

Definitely wish more owners spent, this is exciting to see.

From what I read Degrom didn't give Cohen a last chance to bid, sounded like he wanted out.

100% Degrom wanted nothing to do with NY anymore. Hands down. Some guys just want to live somewhere else, I get it. Like Trea Turner....wanted to be on the East coast, left $50 million on the table or whatever it was from the Padres.
I walk amongst you.......but I am not one of you.
