Google is perfecting self driving cars which can react in an unknown, chaotic environment. Designing a robot to operate within static boundaries with a fixed set of rules will be a cakewalk by comparison.
I envision robots replacing the ordering and the food preparation process and having a) a guy who can performance maintenance on said robots and b) a security guard.

I want to buy cheap investment properties so I can rehab them and rent them out. My goal is to provide housing for people who don't make $15.00 an hour. How will I achieve this? I will read books, do research and move forward. I do have a job (wish I was paid more) but it it's enough to support my family and business... How is this possible? McDonalds is going to continue to decline. People are tired of eating bad processed food at these places. Places that make fresh grilled burgers, a nice environment, and that actually taste good are gaining traction. McDonalds next step is, not redoing their food preparation, but reducing operation costs (people). stupid. shows they don't really care about customers.

It does require a policy response, i'm not sure an ever increasing minimum wage is really the best policy response though.
Ideally, eventually we'll have robots doing most of our labour while we keep doing the creative stuff (creative accounting included lel). The issue then becomes, how do we organise the distribution of resources when we can no longer have a "work for your bread" type system (which, i'd argue, has been pretty successful for the past few thousand years let's be honest).

I think it's totally reasonable for min wage to be tied to inflation, and think it's kind of ridiculous it already isn't. Otherwise every year you effectively take a pay cut.

Whats ****ing them is quality control and employees who dont give a ****. But i cant really blame the employees considering how overworked and underpaid they are.
The one i go to sometimes is nonstop swamped. You can tell when they are cutting corners making the food. And the dining area is always filthy. Reducing operation costs is going to make it even more disgusting.
You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you're a god or a total bastard. The iron always kicks you the real deal. But 200 pounds is always 200 pounds.

Go ahead and give them their $15. I don't want to hear any whining when hours are cut, people are laid off, and job scarcity becomes higher than ever.

Ive had a lot of mcdonalds over the years and quality from store to store and from different times of the day swings wildly.
It can range from delicious to revolting depending on who's working.
Its a very hard job too especially at the locations where it's busy as fuk nonstop all day.

They don't even wash their hands and **** properly man. I've been in that environment and if someone who is fkin raised in the country and is working at McDonalds past age 17 or 18 is a fkin lazy ass don't let anyone tell you otherwise and stop rooting for them. By 18 at best buy I got sent to a sales conference for the top sales people and was making 13 an hour WHICH isn't a lot I make a ton more now at 21 with another job but I'm trying to make a point here. They don't DESERVE that money because they don't have the drive to find another job. It's different for people who are new to the country and can't really work anywhere else cause they might have came from a really ****ty place but we came to canada from Iran and my mom worked **** jobs for a few years then worked her way up to where we are now 19 years later so don't tell me these people deserve 15/hr. Trust me, they don't. The job is easy and as people are saying, monkeys can do it.How dare some of you raise your snooty little noses at these workers who came together and protested for better wages.. Such awful human beings, wanting to be compensated more for the hours they give to their company..
The same people who look down on these workers are the one's who "work" at a cubicle all day shopping online or on social media and probably do about 25 mins of doing actual work while getting paid much more...
Also if they rustle your jimmies, you probably feel threatened or jealous that some "burger flipper" will make close to what you're making, maybe you should take their initiative and fight for more compensation...
And no I don't work at McDonalds or any other fast food restaurant

u do nothing but flip burgers all day. y shud i pay for $15, if u r expecting to get paid $15, u better remove that tipping jar. It doesn't require skill. anyone can do it, $2/hr is more like it for being a lazy kunt and not looking for better job.
