Well everytime I go to the skatepark it sucks that it's mostly kids. Not saying kids shouldn't pick up skating but it feels like a day care more than a skatepark. But some of the kids are nice, some try really hard to teach my how to ollie even though I suck at skateboarding. I just wish there were more young adults at the skatepark like going to a gym. But I guess no one takes skating seriously and most young adults quit early so only ends up being kids. And the majority of older people who skate are probably pros like Chris Cole or Tony Hawk. Or dads who got back into it b/c they had a kid.
But I live next to Etnies Skatepark, it's one of the nicest public skateparks. I've been to Nyjah's skatepark & the Berrics and I still think Etnies is way better. It's huge! And it's all cement, no private skatepark will ever come close to being as prestine as Etnies.
Hoping after 2020 Olympics w/ skateboard event that maybe the sport will be taken more seriously than just something that looks cool. And I wanna shout out I used to skate with Figgy "Justin Figueroa" back in elementary school.

One of the biggest reasons I wanna skate again is to stand up for skaters and stop letting them get pushed around by all of the idiots in society. I can't stand seeing all of the kids/teens get bullied by adults into "not skating on X property" or "making noise" and all of that other stupid chit. I remember being 13 and like 90 lbs skating in the street and some old fuk or old kunt soccer mom would bitch about us making noise or "damaging the roads". Back then I couldn't do chit but listen. Nowadays I fukking PRAY someone will say some chit like that to me

I skated from age 14 to 22. Started skating again casually at age 26, I'm 28 now.
I havent skated in 2 months after snapping my chit up at work and getting a horrific sciatica flare up. Its been depressing as hell and have wondered if I'll be able to skate again any time soon. Learned Varial heelflips and was close to having backside kickflips and 360 flips down right before my injury.
As old as I am I regularly saw guys older than me shredding hard at the local skate park. There's this old bro with grey hair and a beard that is a beast. Saw him do a 50-50 360 flip out on a ledge. As long as you're physically able then I'd say go for it OP. It's a very fun and rewarding hobby. Only downside is its hell on your ankles, knees and back.

Shiiiiiit this is making want to start skating again. I used to skate a lot back in middle school and high school. I'm 31 now though and I dunno if I want the injury risk lol. I still snowboard though but it would be nice to skate in the summer again.

Skateboarding is fun,
Still riding a board after 11 years and I'm 26, not nearly as good as I use to be, but life gets busy. Either way I still go out and film once in a while with my buddies. We all live kinda far apart but we do a yearly skate trip where we meet up and fly somewhere fun to skate for a week and stay at nice comfy hotels.
Skating is just as much of not more fun to me now that when I was kid. Especially skatin with your friends. Also I've made lots of friends through skateboarding not only in North America but also in Korea!
Either way I don't see myself stopping anytime soon

Can pick up a complete plan B skateboard for 70 bucks brand new, should I pull the trigger? I'm not sure what kind of other parts are on it, I assume they're good quality too.
edit: everything is planB according to the seller, I'll try to get it down to 50 bucks since this guy is flipping them or something lol.
