1. There's very little intrinsic value toanyvideo game. This one is no exception
2. Most people have latched onto this gamebecausethey played the older games on the handheld
3. This game is radically different from the handheld games. Its one step closer to the Pokemon MMO that everyone have been begging for

There's more to the game than just walking around and catching pokemon. You can get eggs from pokestops and the eggs hatch after you've walked several miles and when they hatch they have stronger pokemon in them. You can set them up at designated gyms and people can attempt to beat your gym.

Also the game is clearly glitchy as hell, but there's nothing a few patches won't fix. Also there's still no ability to fight people you meet on the street which will be added, and considering there are over 700 pokemon, there are still A LOT more pokemon they can add to the game.

The template of the game is from an existing app for tourists who wanted to visit local sights and attractions or if they were looking for a place to eat or a hotel that is why most of those places are "pokespots" I'm sure they'll create a patch/update for the game that will fix some of the locations.

the game hasn't been out for a week, so its bound to be filled with glitches.

That feel when you pop two lures at stops right next to each other and two cars pull up right away and kids walking around stop right where you are

That feel when you decide to stop by the park on your way home and there are bunch of kids walking with their heads glued to the phone and not talking to each other

That feel when you over hear those same group of kids couldn't beat the gym that was there. So you stop by beat it and put your pokemon there. Then they beat your pokemon

You need to wander around a college campus. Those places are gold mines.
