My kids have been playing since launch and I got it yesterday. We had a great time last night. Went outside to a local spot that had a bunch of stops. There were about 10 people there already and the crowd got to around 50. People just walking around, talking and having a good time. This was in a church parking lot. Can't imagine what it's like in more hopping locations.

Nintendo could've done so much more with Pokemon over the years but cuckd itself from its maximum potential. The legendary Pokemon style games can easily be designed for modern mobile phones and those would be just as popular.

I think the game is awesome. I can just leave it on (Battery Saver Mode is a god send) when I go for a walk/run, you'll still feel it vibrate when something is nearby. Or I can drive 5 minutes down the street to a large mall area that has like 10 pokestops and 3 gyms. It's definitely a game you won't like if you're used to sitting and gaming. You literally have to get up and move/explore different areas to get different pokemon. Well I guess you could just drop a lure and insence and sit all day, but that's not what this game is really about.

For me I enjoy the game, it's not over the top but I find it fun. Then again, I think I was 10 when the original games came out so Pokemon is pretty much part of my childhood. As long as people aren't being stupid (like some people have been!) and are aware of their surroundings/not driving while playing then I don't see any issues since it's bringing people together.
