R3L3NT, can the "sparkly" component of Burnt Bronze be put into other colors?

33 on my ACT. I heard that they have a monkey make random selections for answers and that the Monkey usually gets around an 18.
Why would you not retake the test if you only got 17?

Sup beeches?
On the Gen5 G19, I'd buy myself one without the finger grooves. They're too small for my meaty phalanges.
Inb4 farles tries to tell me phalanges are just the bones.
One of our math professors had SAT prep, it was more of an efficiency class and really changed the way I took multiple choice/standardised tests, especially with the IB "papers" and the tests my HS biology prof gave us. Schit, i used the same technique to take the TA vibration analysis tests in the past eight months and finished the level II exam in almost half the given time. And that's going through the test twice.

These days they are having kids do test prep to get ready for the exams so they can artificially increase their scores. IDK about you guys, but that stuff didn't exist when I was a kid. At least not to my knowledge.

Got a 31 the first time, 34 the second. Experience with the format definitely helps. I'm relatively young but test taking abilities have helped me avoid student debt thus far (currently in an MBA program).
The reason they have to use standardized tests is because everything else is sorelative. I got a very high GPA in high school, but I went to a rural HS and they didn't offer things like AP. Between that and the quality of the instructors and the slight variations in the curriculum, etc., you're really comparing apples to oranges with regard to past education. Regardless, a high GPA does show some natural intellectual ability, ability to master a system, hard work, or a mix of all the above. I think in that light it's relatively easy to see why a standardized test is important for an admissions department combing over the applications of thousands of prospective students.

I've been trying to find a good quality airgun that I can practice shooting in my basement. I am having a hard time finding anything with realistic feel and action, that has good velocity and accuracy. I seem to recall a few threads back somebody was posting about a Glock replica that seemed to fit the bill. Anybody know anything about that? Everything I've been finding online and in stores seems to be junk. I don't have a preference for lead pellet, BB or airsoft as long as it's realistic and accurate.
I have a Gamo Whisper Silent Cat pellet rifle and it's fun but I want a good pistol to practice with too.

I don't mean anything personal by this Tyler, but people in your situation are the reason they need to have standardized tests. I went to some podunk school where kids would have a 3.9 GPA be top 10 in the class and get a 20 on the ACT. Going just off GPA and class rank screws the kid who goes to a much more difficult and competitive school who ends up with a 3.7 and is outside the top 20% of his class, but is way smarter than any kid in the reject, rural school like the one I went to.
I always thought standardized or cumulative exam type tests were a good measure of what you know/learned. It is one thing to generally understand a concept, but to be able to recall it quickly and make extrapolations off what you know is a strong indicator of whether or not you actually learned it.
Kids in college would always complain that the tests were nothing like the homeworks or were way harder. What good would it do to have you regurgitate the same step-by-step process on a test that you've already done before? That tests nothing. Presenting a problem that is unique from what you have seen challenges if you really understand what was taught and are able to use that information and apply it to a new problem. That is a much better gauge for not only measuring understanding of a concept, but for how well you will be able to apply what you've learned in the real world. Life isn't going to give you a problem that you can just find a similar one to in the notes.

Just make sure you don't get too cocky and just cut the slit in it a little smaller than you think at first. You can always make it a little bigger, but once you slice too far you are hotdogging down a hallway for the rest of the time you own it.
