Grew up and have lived in/near a lot of hood areas and can confirm this is normal. Have seen people get jumped, curb stomped, homeless people fighting, etc. fun times

Within the last 25 years, the amount of government assistance has increased.



Lots of time to change culture and communities, but still stays the same out of 'white man's fault'.

Quite a few in Maryland, Cali, and NY. They aren't perfect, but I believe they're MUCH better than Detroit, St Louis, Camden, etc...

Is that supposed to fix everything? When an entire generation is pushed further back, it's just supposed to be fixed just because 50 years have gone by? That's such a small window of time for things to get better. Things are though, crime is going down, Black Women's numbers for graduating are going up (probably cuz of Aff. Action, I dont doubt it) But it's gonna take more time. Private Prisons need to go away and so does the division inside the Black Community. But these are all multilayered issues.

Government dependency from the past created the modern culture of dependence today. If we were not pushed in Section 8or had drugs completely help destroy our family unit that change you are talking about would have been easier. What happens in the past affects the future and echoes throughout time.

White guilt is also a problem, it takes away agency from us and creates Resentment amongst whites which will lead to more conflict.
