All 3 of my vehicles are full of gas now too. If I had proper trailering, I could make it half way across the country

TONS of 5 gallon jugs I water which get rotated anyway on my dispenser
TONS batteries
enough flashlights including lantern lights that'll light an entire room
power generator in shed (old, not used since 2004 though it was my parents)
meat for my Hank Hill grill
I just don't have plans in case my reptile collection must go too long without their heat lamps/mats and UVB needs...
I don't have booze either, hows FLoridas stock on that? If I went out now would I get a few cases?????? Might want to grab bags of ice too, but wish me luck there

Good luck Florida brahs. We somehow dodged it in Curacao. Barely even sprinkled and was only 100km away from the eye.

Lol'd hard at the East coast when I lived in Maryland area. We got hit by a Hurricane and it was just a phuckign drizzle. Stores all sold out, people freaking out. So embarrassing. Seen worse in Texas when a tornado spawns out of nowhere and hail the size of baseballs start crashing down.

Also, it's not about the rain with a hurricane as much as it is the wind and storm surge. Multiple tornadoes spawn from hurricanes also. Do you even hurricane bro?
In 2004 we had 4 that hit FL. Nothing as big as Matthew and we have wide spread power outages in areas that weren't directly hit. Power stayed out for weeks for many people.

I had one of those inflatable beach balls and me and my brother were going to go toss it around in the wind when my dad came out screaming at us to get inside. We ended up taking pillows, mattresses, basically anything soft, and creating a mini-bunker in our storage room. About 30 minutes later, the winds started picking up and you could hear trees snapping. The sound of 150 mph winds constantly wreaking havoc is nightmare inducing.
The eye was the scariest part. Hurricane Charlie was so compact that the eye was pretty small compared to other hurricanes. When the eye was over us, we went out to our porch to investigate the damage (radio and tv obviously weren't working so we didn't know wtf was going on). We thought it was over. Nope. Eye was just chilling over us. I've never seen black clouds spin and move so fast. I remember thinking it looked like you were standing in the middle of a carousel with black horses spinning around you. Dad yelled at us to get back inside and we hid in the makeshift bunker for a few more hours.
Didn't learn my lesson though, still go out and party whenever a hurricane is coming to town. Please Matthew, don't pepper my angus.
