Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

If you watch the full episode, you will see it's not faked or staged.
Those snakes spawn camp the Iguana egg sites...... so when the baby Igauans emerge, they are already running for their lives in snake valley
Literally, only the fastest and strongest Iguana's get to survive and reproduce. It's a test of fitness as soon as the babies come into the world. Any Iguana with a defect or weakness will die.

Like mentioned above, they followed the crew who sometimes spent weeks to evenmonthson location to get even a single shot for the show. That Snow Leopard behind the scenes comes to mind. I believe that was months trying to get a glimpse of it beings that it is such an elusive stealthy animal

What are the best nature documentaries?
I've only seen Planet Earth, Frozen Planet, and Human Planet.

Dumb question, but don't snakes "see" by sensing heat? Beyond relying on their eye-sight, which I think is poor, how do they detect a cold-blooded lizard?

Blows my mind how they can even get footage like this. LOL'd hard when he leaped and the snake failed miserably.

For anyone questioning if the filming is real, here is a short behind the scenes video of how it was filmed.
This guy didn't make it, only the strongest survive. The snakes don't even work together, its every man for himself.
