Finally ordered my Eliel stuff. I got the cheaper bibs because they never answered me as to what the difference between the two are.

And the Rincon jersey. All black. Black and white Shimano RC7's. Custom Oakley Radar EV's in matte black on the way. Going hard as fuk.

Eric's code saved me 50 bucks so ya'll. We'd to hop on that.

I have the Laguna Seca bibs and they're amazing, not sure what the hollywood ones could have that these don't.

It seems like they are meant to be paired with the aero jersey. So I dunno. Maybe it's an even slimmer/race day fit.

Yeah, beats me. But I just went on and saw they had the black "newport" laguna seca bibs on sale for 125....ended up ordering 2 more sets of them.

So now with using Erik's codes I have saved almost $100, not to mention the prices are great to begin with.

Now I just need to get my gears perfect with the adjuster.
Some input from someone who routinely fixes his derailleur/hanger/cables (I ride downhill/freeride so maintenance is a constant thing). The hi/lo adjusters lock how far each direction the derailleur can move. Preventing it from colliding with your spokes/frame/dropping the chain. It is possible to have the derailleur hit your chain stays or spokes without the chain falling off depending on the setup (I've done it). Bear that in mind too instead of just preventing the chain from falling off. This should be set without the cable attached, moving the derailleur by hand.

The B-Tension screw (the other screw) sets the angle of chain from the pulley to the cassette. Needs to be adjusted while chain is in the largest cog. If the pulley is too close, it'll hit the cog. Too far away and the angle will not allow good shifting. A sharper angle will yield better shifting.

People tend to go overboard with the barrel adjuster. When setting up a rear derailleur you shouldn't need more than a full turn of the barrel to fine tune it. Best way is to extended the barrel adjuster out a couple turns (just in case), put the shifter into the lowest gear, have the derailleur on the lowest gear. Attach the cable, don't yank on the cable or put pressure on the derailleur, just have the cable taught. Tighten the bolt. Try shifting. If it doesn't shift up smoothly, do 1/4 turns at a time until it shifts smoothly through all gears. Don't do full turns, fine tune with 1/4 turns.

New mount came in, looks a bit goofy. Now.. I'll just have to worry about the shakiness. But was NOT going to shell out ~$250 for a stabilizer, lol.

That stabilizer will put you in the big leagues, but you don't need one. You will need to lower your front tire pressure though, and focus more on your stability during filming. Just remember during filming its all about the footage not the ride.

BTW, I was just about to ask what camera you all were using since you didn't mention you had a Session. Also, the closer to the center apex, the less the vibration.

How's the sizing? I normally wear L Castelli gear and it's skewed my idea of what im meant to wear, their chart makes it look like i should be in a small/medium.

Yeah, not about to let my quality of ride be effected by needing to get "better footage". Thanks a bunch for the tips though! I'll probably make use of them when/if I do some more promo stuff.

You'd likely be an XL if you're a L in Castelli sh*t.

Why you guys buy out all the decent designs that were on sale?

I had to get on that Horizon time.

$172AU that comes to with Eriks code (thx btw, that basically means free shipping for me, i usually get screwed on that with US orders), that's easily $100 more than I've ever spent on bib shorts so hopefully these hug my balls like a caressing lover.

I'm totally going in dry on that ***gytime design with the stars on forest green and the fluorescent one if these fit.... actually the classic navy looks nice too, they have some nice understated designs.

Put your feelers out Erik, i want that classic navy but with an almost imperceptible southern cross on the back and a half inch strip of Union jack around the leg gripper.

Suit yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you when the youtube bandwagon has run its course and the time comes when all your fans begin to recognize the good stuff from the also-rans. You'll wish you had listened to my words. Shirley you can dedicate 1 day out of 6/7 just for your videos?

Ride yesterday was a resounding success. Went straight out into the headwind at the start of the ride which had me crawling at 10-12mph at some points, but the weather/scenery was beautiful and once I hit just over the halfway mark the wind got behind me and I blasted home.

Thinking of doing a route like this on a weekly basis if possible. Angus is feeling a bit sore today and I notice my old chap getting numb at some points, which slowed me down because I was thinking about all the talk of ED in the last thread lmao.

Going out on the bike with the Mrs at the weekend, I have finally talked her into it! Bought her a new saddle and shorts as well as some faster rolling tyres.

Good to hear your lass coming out cycling with you.
I wanted my lass to use the rapid. But she was far too nervous.
My balls go numb about 20 min after getting home from any ride longer than 15 miles. Dunno why.

Wind is a kunt m8. You could be unfortunate enough to live in Newcastle where it howls 24/7.

Spotted your run on strava yesterday and nodded slowly.

My wife and son are away visiting family and my bike is now downstairs next to the front door until she returns and tells me to fukin move it.

Yeah this was my mistake last year, took her out for a 9 mile route on gravel and she hated it, although she's more than fit enough it was the saddle pain that did it.

We're fortunate enough to live near a nature reserve now which you can make as long as you want, so we'll probably do something like that until she is confident on wheels again.

Haha you always crack me up man, yeah it's pretty flat around here so the wind can be a bitch, nowhere near as bad as the coast though!

In regards to riding with your lady; if you've never done it before you'll quickly learn how unappealing an 8 mph ride is for 23 miles. Lol.

In for Part 3.

Did a group ride with local racers last night. Averaging 24 mph before the cool down at the end. These SOB's were fast.
