I think most of this thread is missing the point of the forced diversity remark. It has nothing to do with other races and genders being in a movie it has to do with altering an already established story and changing it just for the sake of having a minority in the movie. It's like making James Bond an Asian guy. If King Arthur wasn't based off of medieval Britain nobody would care, but it was so it's fukking ridiculous. It's no different than whitewashing a film like Gods of Egypt, which was equally retarded.

Whitewashing isn't appropriate when main characters are other races. There have been a couple of films I refused to see because the main characters were supposed to be Asian or some other ethnicity and a white person got cast.

But turning male characters into females changes things completely. Having Iron man suddenly become a girl? Like wtf no one actually likes Iron man they like Tony Stark. Even James Bond can be portrayed by a black dude, but he dam well better have a British accent. Certain characteristics should never be changed in established characters and to change it for the sake of diversity means I will never watch the movie because I won't be able to get into the movie.
