If your bank doesn't have a branch cross country then you're going to have to pay huge wire fees which also get tied up in bs red tape.

I have seen nights where the stripper made a good bit of money but it was not the majority. Most of those parties are bachelor parties on a budget and not a party of NFL players.

She never worked in clubs. She did go on that foxy boxing tour once tho.

Outlawing cash is about control IMO.
Cash is freedom. Cashless society (all electronic transfer) is sweet for the government and the banks because it means you have no privacy. Every dollar you earn, invest, or spend is trackable, taxable, and vulnerable to confiscation.
They will push it at a measure to fight criminals (aka drug money) and not say a peep about people who have other reasons to want their privacy, including things like delinquent student loans and alimony/child support orders.

The only people you have to worry about in that situation is a cop overstepping his authority.
I've driven 1.8 million in cash in a suitcase about 1.5 hrs away to make a last minute payroll.

From 18 to 33 you can make more than one million without degrading yourself. Just gotta have the formula, wish I knew it when I was 18.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

Its just a matter of if you can prove it or not /what the evidence points toward. On the outside looking in, without any training or knowing anything about that side of the drug world. It just looks like some poor random person who saved up 1 million in cash through hard labor randomly was stopped and the money was seized by the police...
Its pretty stupid to make the case if there isn't enough evidence on hand. On the flip side they probably thought they would seize the money and no effort would be made for the money to be recovered. Money in that case usually goes to the courts system in that area and the department hand may get a small percentage to buy equipment or something like that. In a lot of cases like this its either a fairly easy win in court or the person who lost the money just chalks it up to the game and doesn't make any effort to get their money back. Usually they are so busy ratting out business associates and cutting deal's they just give up the money as part of the plea bargain.
If its not obvious. They knew who was driving the car, where she was coming from, where she was going and what was in the car before they made the traffic stop. Guys who are seizing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of drugs or hundreds of thousands of dollars (or even into the millions) aren't some patrol officer sitting on the side of the road writing speeding tickets.
Not arguing for or against. Simple facts. Most likely scenario is within a few years she's either dead, in prison, and/or the feds seize everything of value that she owns.
It was given back.

Good luck getting someone in NJ to take a check for 1mil from California. If they deposit it the bank would put a hold on it for weeks while making interest off of it. This is called a float.
It's obvious most of you have no experience in this area.

You want my cash you better prove it's being used illegally.
This law is complete bullchit. And it falls under the same premise that I'd rather see 100 absolutely guilty men go free than 1 innocent man go to prison.
I don't care if some criminals get away with some more stuff if this law is repealed. Do better police work instead of sitting in Dunking Donuts.

$1m in CASH. made by 'stripping'. put into bags so it won't give off scent. taken cross country in a rented car. Investment for a 'night club'.
Cuz of course cash in bags driven thousands of miles is how people invest in businesses.
uh huh. Are people born yesterday nowadays?

stripper spent 1 1/2 years in prison for selling drugs if you read the legal stuff.
also there was no "documentation" of the couple doing a business transaction with the other couple. Basically gave them $1m, shook hands, then took off.
C'mon. What retard gives someone $1M without any documentation, contract, nothing?
i've worked in le ,and these 'businesses' are known as facades to mask drug money. Strip clubs are notorious for it. Same with laundromats and other cash heavy business.
methinks: most of that was drug money (using her striping as an excuse). she paid taxes which simply keeps uncle sam away. The business was once again a facade to launder the money. Feds could find no proof of how couple got their money and lost. Selling drugs does work if 1) you report all income in taxes 2) use an 'excuse' on how you got it (ie: get a cash job) and 3) use a busineess to launder the money. Watch the sopranos. I've handled the cases where drug guys used freakin fancy accountaing firms to make it as complex as possible for cops/feds to bust them. They pay taxes so it makes them bulletproof.
Why nothing after 2013? I'm gonna take a guess she's dead.
