This is because while most people who attain such degrees probably are pretty smart, it is very possible to get a good number of advanced degrees off memorizing chit you read in books while lacking personal creative thought skills. It goes by a case by case bases.

- Calling someone smart/intelligent because they attended 1 year of community college is stupid

- People aren't automatically intelligent just for getting college degrees; see bs liberal arts grads and advanced degree holders with no personal creative thought skills

I was referring primarily to the involvement in whites in taking those things to the state we have today. You're quite right in correcting me though on the actual origins. It was a hasty post based on irritation really, I shouldn't have implied that it was only white history.

They were slaves in Africa before they were bought by white people bro....Africans enslaved their own people from warring tribes and sold them to the white people. What's your point? No one said only white people did slavery. The issue is the n-word, and here in America.....the history of it surrounds centuries of slavery and segregation. It should be obvious why white people should use the word.

Yeah, then when that argument gets flipped on its head they start talking about "white privilege" or "systemic racism". Not to mention the fact that the Arab slave trade was much worse and lasted much longer than that little short bout of slavery in the US that was willingly dismantled.

Anybody can use any word that they want, I don't personally use it because it portrays a certain mentality that I don't have. But to each his own.

Reading through the thread, the common theme here from most of the white guys is "black people are unreasonable for not allowing us to say that word."


I hate to sound all SJW, but given the history of the word, yes you should be allowed to say it but you should respectfully choose NOT to say it because you know how much it bothers black people. So, why not just show a little restraint and just not say it? If you DO say it, fine, but don't expect black people not to grill you for it, because they have every right to. You know the history of the word and the history of this country. For black people to just give you all the OK to say it how you please = black people cucking themselves to white America.

If you can actually look at things from their perspective (I don't think most of you can), then you can't really say they're wrong on this.
