I don't at the moment. Online dating is a joke and the 7th level of hell. I've been off the apps for years and get on about once a year for a couple days before I have to delete out of pure disgust. It's like proof to myself and everyone who tells me to get online that it's useless. lol

Finding a guy around my age who's in decent shape who's not a total douchebag is pretty difficult. Most guys my age are beer guzzling, bar rat couch potatoes. I do Latin dance classes several nights a week and work out 3 or so days a week, so I keep busy. Shrug. I'd love to find my person, but I'd rather be alone than settle. I guess the one good thing about being single at this age is my maternal clock is not a ticking time bomb like for those that are younger.

Thank you. I'm a bit younger than you but have been married almost 21 years so it's always an intriguing topic. It just seems very sad. I don't think I would date at all if I were to find myself single. I just don't see it.

I got divorced at 44. Honestly, it sucks. It's impossible to find someone who wants real in this day and age of swiping through hundreds/thousands of online profiles. It's the grass is always greener mentality. People won't give anyone a chance when look! There are hundreds more to swipe through!

It helps to have a really sarcastic sense of humor too. I can turn anything into a positive in the "always look on the bright side of life" kinda way. Don't get me wrong, I'm lonely and I get the sads. I'll have a pity party, watch a good chick flick or tear jerker while I eat my ice cream and be over it. Knowing that I could get dates if i wanted, but choosing not to, makes a difference too. (seriously not trying to be conceited when I say that)
