Overall S2 was good, but none of the new characters seemed to have any point to them, and I don't actually like Will very much.
Nancy and Steve act like they've been dating for 2 weeks, when they've presumably been dating the entire year that has elapsed. Didn't seem like it.
I don't think creatures with flower buds for heads are cool or scary at all. Where are their brains located?
Tons of details seemed to be lifted straight out of X-men and Sense8 and other stuff. NBD I guess.
Still very good, but I have a feeling season 3 is going to blow, as it almost always does.

I really expected Max to be either 1. another one of the "numbers," or 2. the true child of papa looking for revenge.
Also, the missed an opportunity with the underground root system and the DigDug game... unless the subtle hint was what they were going for.

Finished it. Pretty solid but alot of recycled material from the first. Nothing really happened.
Meh/10. They're probably playing it safe looking to get 5 seasons out of the same storyline.
Edit: I actually enjoyed episode 7 (The eleven meeting her sister part). Don't get the hate. Also Billy was Chad AF and the girl who plays Eleven in real life is cool af.
I say they get two more seasons. Everyone except Eleven and Will are 15-16. The show won't work with them as adults but who knows.

I think that he was just super-controlling because his father is the same way towards him.definitely seemed racist but they didn't really spell it out. such a weird character, don't really know what the point was for having him in the season. served as an antagonist for both the sister and steve, but they were just minor characters anyways, and it didn't really affect the story. there was no resolution between him and steve either, he just beats the chit out of him at the end and that's it. i guess there was something there with him and the sister at the end with her overcoming her fear of him or whatever, but it didn't seem necessary. just didn't see the point.

S2 lost some of the charm and innocence of S1, but I think that's just the natural progression of the story once a. The characters discover "kind-of" what's going on and b. The kids going through such a traumatic experience.
Despite all that, I still love the show. And as someone who literally grew up in the 80s, some of the scenes are like watching a home movie.

When is season 3? I like Steve especially when he's hanging out with the kids but they need to make it a thing where he gets beat up every season. 2 for 2 so far

And S2 isn't that representative of him given the "environment." (purposely vague to avoid spoilers)

Also their weird relationship, no parents, both super high levels of physical fitness and hand eye coordination...
I wonder if they were set up as actual red herrings to throw people off from Will being the spy or if there is more to their storyline for season 3.
Bringing in the super alpha dad kind of wrote off the spy angle. I wonder if that storyline was just scrapped last minute as too convoluted. As it stands the Billy and Max storyline made no sense. All that build up just to introduce a 13yo interracial romance?

all the new characters. Billy pumpin weights whilst smoking a ciggie was ultimate chad moment, I got pissed off they killed bob newby thought he was a really good character to possibly keep around. MadMax is good.
Steve storyline helping out the kids, specially dustin
Storyline and still has that mystery of it still. Was also nice to see it focused more on dustin and lucas and less on mike
the ending was beautiful and touching (no homo)
disliked
feel like they copied the alphabet light thing and replaced it with the tunnel drawings really obvious.
episode 7 was lame as ****, I don't think i need to explain why.
Jonathon and nancy trying to find justice for barb and that conspiracy guy. Felt like I was watching a different show with him on it.
took too long for eleven to get back with the group but once she did it was magic.
8/10
season 1 is still the goat though 9.5/10

Also the writers said they will only have two more seasons. The kids will be old as **** by then lol
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

finished season 2 and generally liked it
Spoiler!
Spoiler!
- as mentioned already a couple of times the purpose of the "episode 7" storyline doesn't seem exactly clear at the moment, but probably a set-up for season 3 (?), I did like Kai Greene in it however lol
- would've liked to see Bob live, he brought some lols and the way he died didn't seem necessary tbh, if he just kept running straight to the door wouldn't he have made it?
- Steve is by far my favorite character
- Dustin getting rejected at the dance was hard to watch, feels
- strong jaw on Nancy but she can get it
- did I miss how they explained all the deaths at Hawkins Lab to the public (f.e. Bob !)? I only remember explaining Barbs death
