That’s some good chit OP. I met someone last year I’d been talking to in text and phone after kicking it off on the interwebs for 7 years. Nothing romantic came of it but had a good time nonetheless and we’re still pals to this day. Definitely worth meeting up with them.

I know you’ve already departed for this meet but for others who may be in the same situation in the future, if you get dem nerves after years of build up, reminder that the other person is probably feeling the same so don’t sweat it.

- OP fell in love with a japanese girl he was a kid, girl moved back to japan (she was just visiting)
- GIRL sent a letter and some pictures to op 17 years ago but OP never replied back.
- OP wants to get in contact with girl again.
- OP asks detectives to help him to come in touch with her.
- A misc detective came trhough and found a video of her
- Misc finds out the Japanese girl is actually a pretty famous singer/African instrument player -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anyango
- OP sends letter to girl reminiscing the good ol' days etc...
- OP waits for about a month.
- Misc worries if all has gone well.
- OP receives letter from Anyango (girl) which inter alia says the girl still remembers him and she's hoping to see him again (along with some merchendise she sent him)
- Misc wants to help OP buy a ticket to Japan
- OP politely declines, but has definitely made up his mind to go visit her.
- OP has also said he'll send her another letter back.
- Misc sheds manly tears (including me) for a wonderful story
- Misc hopes OP will wife her
