That "controversial" video was only controversial to those that consider the level of disrespect that this guy was proceeding with. The 12-16 year old demographic doesn't care about such respect as so long as they are entertained.
It also takes a lot more to go through with unsubscribing to someone than it does to subscribe to them in the first place. You want to see one content producer's work, you click a button and boom but to go and unsubscribe (unless you are YouTube and do it for your users, heheheheh) you have to decide you really dislike this person and don't even want their stuff to come up any more in the first place (instead of just ignoring it when it does). If you liked his content before, this one "bad" video isn't going to stop you. It even creates more drama and drive to his channel to see how he will react.
