- Tell boss you're not doing the meeting with the other Kent
- It's not your business and you're not the boss OP, just do your job.
- Tell bitch to stop annoying the crap out of you.

Sounds like you're the one making this personal. If your boss wasn't someone you felt like you could manipulate, you wouldn't be trying to make this an issue. You would do what the rest of the world does, and either confront her yourself, or ignore her. Seems to me, you're just enjoying the thrill and game of making waves and tossing a curveball to see how far you can dictate/push things in your professional relationship now. Dude, your reek of desperation and immaturity. SRS. Do your job like the 30 phucking 2 year old like you are, and if you give any chit at all about your relationship stop trying to test the waters of how much you can dictate or control outside of it. You're bored and need to know he'll choose you, so you're pulling this crap. We get it.

TLDR; Grow the fuk up

Screwing the boss doesn't make you the boss. The other woman's employment arrangement and job title are none of your business, quite frankly. If you are as overwhelmed as you say you are in your current position, then clearly more help was needed. The work has to be done whether or not you do it or your coworker does it.

Screwing the boss also doesn't give you additional entitlement in your workplace. You are admin and not a direct part of the revenue-production stream. As such, if your drama threatens to disrupt any portion of the revenue process or the boss's livelihood, you will be replaced. Stepping between the boss and his pocketbook is a surefire way to get fired.

Also, all the reasons you have listed as to why the new lady is awful are petty. You are throwing a toddler style fit because you didn't get your way.

Yeah and no I'd say it was normal Michelle - but if you hold your ground/preesent your argument as you are here I am certain your boss'll see whome is right. Good luck with it my friend.

It is my business, the owner of the company(my directs boss) does the hands on physical labor that the company does and deals with some customers. So next in line is me. So if he hired someone and they aren’t making my life easier then it was the wrong move. Like I said- I do everything, while I was doing everything yesterday - I watched this girl spend 4 hours ordering office supplies on amazon, 4 fukn hours and then go to lunch like she had a busy day, considering I have to pick up the slack and hear about it more. I would say it is my business. I don’t work 9-5 and call it good for the day.. my life revolves around the company I work for and I actually feel very disrespected. I didn’t want to bring up the fact that my boss is my boyfriend because I knew it would change the tone of this thread. But In my mind he could be two different people, we have a working relationship and our relationship. And were very good at keeping it separate.

If she is just sitting there and is indeed equal to your position, then give her some of your assigned duties to complete rather than criticize her for doing nothing because she has been given nothing to do. That would be the logical solution there. Also, she will do those duties differently than you, and that is part of working with other people.

I'm not sure why you feel disrespected. You could not complete all of your duties, so your boss hired someone to pick up a portion of your work. That isn't disrespect, that is the growth of a business. The work still has to get done in a timely manner whether or not you have the time to do it.

Just get on Seeking Arrangement and you can kiss office politics goodbye.
Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still here postin' in hhhnnnggg threads, beggin' for mod reps, and braggin' about whales you harpooned from POF, I'll f'in kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.

Besides me being in a relationship with my boss, what else would give you that impression based on the things you’ve read here?
Keep in mind that this girl isn’t getting her own work done because she is too focused on what I’m doing and trying to undermine the decisions I make. This isn’t happening once a week or even once a day, it is an all day occurrence.

She’s been in a couple fights with our boss because he will tell her to do something a certain way and she will fight him on it. So I’m not the only one having issues with her, but he doesn’t have to work closely with her for 8 hours a day and he has a lot more patience than me too.

Edit- also, I’ve known him for 12 years- We didn’t live in the same state but I have been helping him out with his company for a few years, it eventually led into me working full time (and relocating)for him but the relationship didn’t happen until like a year ago. It’s not an ideal situation but I care about him and I care about his company, so it is what it is.

More than likely you mentioned to him that she annoys you, and his response was something similar to: "I don't interact with her much. She's tried to fight me on a few things I asked her to do, but for the most part she's solid" Which then in turn made you feel the need to push it further, since he didn't give you the reaction you wanted.

Because instead of dealing with it you ran to your bf. It seems more than anything you're just pissy he hired an equal to you instead of an assistant. If she's not doing her work he'll notice. You're the bosses gf, not another boss.
