Which is understandable, but does not excuse the parents from their behavioral issues. If they're too traumatize to ride on a plane then its up to the parent to make other transportation arrangements.

Your child's physical and/or emotional issues are the responsibly of the parent. Not all of society.

So you're telling me giving your kid some benadryl (or half a fukking ****** pill) is immoral & not allowed?

Because to me that's 10x better than making the lives of hundreds of other people miserable for 8 hours.

I'd bet half the people on the plane are self-medicated. The rest just use alcohol. Lots of normal people have anxiety issues when flying.

This is why there should be a holding area for unruly passengers in another area of the plane. Mother and kid could have been taken to it for duration of flight. Still checked on regularly for refreshments and left to use bathroom every so often. Very humane way of dealing with bad situation. mother no longer effected by humiliating situation/passengers no longer annoyed by unruly child, win/win.

not sure where the entitlement of being a parent ends

parent wants to see a movie at theater w/demon child = too much
parent wants to travel on plane for 8 hours w/demon child = ok
parent wants to eat at a restaurant w/demon child = too much? ok?

we should just ban all demon children and not talk anymore about this chit
^ this is a long thin black line

I have a few female acquaintances who work for Lufthansa and what they told me:

1. Kid has some mental issue (colleagues on board assumed autism)
2. Kid already had an (autism) tantrum before take-off
3. Crew asked the mother to leave the plane
4. Mother convinced the crew that it would be alright once they take off as she has some multimedia to keep him occupied/focused
5. Mother relied on the availability of on-board/in-flight WIFI for that apparently, didn't had movies/games or whatever pre-loaded on the ipad

I feel the mother was really badly prepared for something like this, but she tried. The crew, however, shouldn't have had caved in and let them stay on the flight.

That said: if they need to get to NJ/NY from Frankfurt ... what do? Overall a bad situation. I don't think the ******* secretly videotaping it like a "hero" helps the situation at all.

Other transportation arrangements? Do you propose they take a cargo ship from Europe to NJ?

The parents should have announced that the kid has problems to the rest of the flight. I'd still be annoyed if I was on the flight, but if the kid has mental problems that's just life.

The mother should have had the child drugged well before the flight; I don’t want to hear moral chit about doing this.

Buy YouTube red for $15 a month of you know your child is in that state instead of relyin on others to take on your burden so you have shows at your finger tips.

Leave the child with family and travel without him...

It might surprise you to know that humans didn't always travel by plane.

No! No! No! The parent don't "announce" anything, If their kids needs special accommodation (beyond what the airlines offers) then let the charter a flight. Then the child can behave as abhorrently as they'd like and won't bother anybody else except their parents.

Lufthansa has Bose QuietComfort 25 or 35 in their Business Class from my experience, but imagine the crew bringing 10 or so of those back to Economy and the riot it would cause.

I think everyone gets earplugs though, but not sure how much they help.

Be made aware of what? That someones child is going to go off into a conniption fit at some point during the flight? You can cancel my reservation and book me on another flight right now.

When I would go spend the weekend at my friend's place for the weekend I always brought my BB gun to school. The bus driver would give it to my buddy's bus driver so it was never actually in the school. I couldn't be going a weekend without my bb gun, it was like my right hand ffs

I see alot of situations where the parent's don't give a damn about what their kids are doing while they are running errands or whatever.

And what I have noticed is .. It's like 80% of the time a black mom ( Not Racist by any means )

Like they don't even look after their kids at banks / shops and so on.. just there sitting looking at their phones while the kid(s) are destroying things...and running / screaming around.
SoyBoy's stay the fuk Outta my way!
