It blows my mind how a country can have a civil war and kill hundreds of thousands of its citizens and no one care yet when 40 die from gas all hell breaks loose.

Wow, what evidence do you have that it was Assad? None. What happened with the last attack? It was proven false and was not connected to Assad. Mattis has said there is no evidence of the attack even taking place.

I don't know about that man. Messing around in the Middle East has caused more issues than before.

I'm also not buying the whole "crimes against humanity" thing. They said like 40 people died from the supposed chemicals used. 40 people. That's nothing. They're in a civil war. For 40 people to die in an attack isn't even worth talking about.

Theres two scenarios.

In the first one a guy gassed his own people knowing this would trigger the UN and USA to go in and kill him and everyone he knows

Or a false flag was orchestrated to continue the war for profit machine.. By the same people that said Iraq has WMDs.. That are keeping weed illegal to protect big pharma.. That have been running a war on drugs to feed the incarceration business.. Etc. Tell me honestly which seems more likely?

Same here. It's just an excuse for the actions that they want to take, and apparently are taking.

Even if the chemical weapons were used by the Assad side, they killed very few people. They killed so few people that it isn't even worth talking about let alone attacking them over. It's unbelievable.

These.

Syrian Brah here, and I can confirm, the vast majority of syrians want the US to stay the fuk out of the country. Assad is the leader the majority of us want. Hes not ideal by any means. But in the Middle East, a leader like him is absolutely necessary. To make matters worse, they were crushing ISIS and the rebels. Brb Assad is winning the war so he says fuk it and uses chemical weapons which he knows will get the US to retaliate as they did last year and have been threatening to do since 2012.

People are fuking potatoes nowadays. This is the same pile of shyt we were fed back in 2012 when Barry wanted to get involved in Syria. If you hold the spoon in front of the child long enough, eventually it'll open its mouth i suppose.

About as much evidence as there was that the last chemical weapons were used by Assad. Hell, American weapons forensics experts said the canister showed signs of being detonated by someone on the ground; not dropped by a Syrian military plane flying high up in the sky. I'm referring to the one last year; not the most recent claim.

People are morons and basically screamed "won't someone please think of the children?!?".

Why would Assad and Russia risk outside intervention when they've all but routed ISIS and the Western-backed rebels in the Syrian civil war?

Take out Assad and we'll just give ISIS more room to roam around and expand and fuk chit up - just like what happened when we removed Saddam and Gadaffi.

Enjoy wasting ~$1 million per Tomahawk cruise missile for nothing - tax cuts, a stupid wall, and now we get to see how many cruise missiles they waste. Lockheed/Northrop/Raytheon or whichever defense contractor that builds the missiles must be happy at the news.

That's because chemical weapons can inflict massive casualties with relatively little investment, and their origin can't always be ascertained. So the powers-to-be make it a redline that can't be crossed, or else weaker countries or resistance/terrorist organizations would be a lot more likely to strike hard at the ruling countries. Imagine if Hamas could easily get their hands on Sarin through third parties, for instance...

The "civil war" going on in Syria is nothing but a fight for which pipeline gets through the country to reach Continental Europe. One from Qatar, one from Iran. Sunnis vs Shiites, Saudi vs Iran. USA and Europe is with the Saudis and Russia is with Iran. The objective with the Qatar pipeline is to eat away at Russia's gas market share in Europe. Assad did not want the Saudi-backed pipeline (Qatar) to pass through Syria.

That's basically it, simplified.

how is blowing people's bodies into pieces/vaporizing them with bombs more ethical than allegedly using gas to kill people ? when did it become the US's job to police the world? This "gassing his own people" narrative sounds similar to the "Iraq sold yellow cake uranium to Al Quaeda in Progue" that was eventually shown to be an outright lie, not a mistake by US intelligence. Totally fabricated.

What they're failing to see too, is Assad is getting other countries to accept his refugees and has tested his chemicals weapons in a civilian setting. Now he can easily have refugees detonate these in countries they are now refuging in. But hey let us not look at this or anything instead let's go on knee jerk reactions of emotions.
