It is a solid side business for affiliate marketing. You make a couple percent when someone from your domain purchases from a link you provide.

Pretty much the only way to do it. The best stuff is all gray market or illegal and that causes FBI raids. The problem is you need credibility to generate traffic. Not easy to do.

The problem is the interpretation of the rules. I have been banned twice for "dat dare discussion" for calling out fake natties.
Technically accurate, but a lot different from discussing compounds, dosing....

The mods interpret as they see fit. We are a bodybuilding forum that is prohibited from acknowledging reality.

Beyond that what was considered prawns became MUCH more restrictive. Removed all of the great MS paint penis stories and the laugh out loud threads disappeared.

I can't speak for the USA (dj mentioned free shipping etc which is certainly competitive) but in the EU (and, I have hinted that bodybuilding.com should do much more for its exposure and promos here in Europe - get Imogen Parfitt to host something in the UK - I've seen her at bodybuilding.com events stateside...) so many supplements just aren't available, and neither are we eligible for promo participation etc.

So, rather than linking competition in the industry to 'moderation on the Misc', it's time to see the forest for the trees. I'm not saying I have all the ideas (or any good ones), but shouldn't this thread be more about the problem facing supplement companies and what LethalGunz34 used to talk about in terms of IFBB participation, competitions and classes etc., rather than whining because some obvious troll gets banned for violating the forum rules?

I've been on forums for over 20 years and this is the only one I've ever seen where some regulars act completely oblivious to the fact that some buddy of theirs catches a ban for violating forum rules and (worse) then makes a multi and gets permabanned for that. It's a testament to certain egos in the bodybuilding sphere, I guess. But get f'n real, please.

I probably placed 25 orders from them in 2014-2015. Then the sales all got lamer, they stoppped including samples and the prices were more than amazon. I remember old black Friday’s in here were insane, and I also remember being super excited for free samples with each shipment.

Now the site actually runs ads from other companies on the forums. U wot? You’re a retail website and you’re using the highest traffic area to send people... to other websites?

Lastly, and I hate to criticize mods, but they have completely let the forums go to fuk. All of the incel, red pill, woman hate, depressive threads should have been banned before it got to critical mass. Now most normal people look at the topics of the front page and just cringe. Oh, and it’s funny the harmless BS that does get banned when I’ve had one specific person say they wished me and my family were burned alive (repeatedly, for six months) and I can’t even get the posts addressed by mods, let alone them banned. Solid model to make sure nobody normal would ever come here and buy from the store to support the forums again.

SRS other than requested, multi accounts, and spam, around 80% of bans are for drugs, and racism. The other 19% are for mod bashing, because they were banned for drugs and/or racism. The last 1% account forother various rule violations.
And how many of those are there? I always see the main ones mentioned but it would be nice to know what all of the less known violations are.

bb.com, the Misc and a lot of the supplement sellers are suffering from attrition. Forums were big in the early days of the internet until social media gathered pace and faceless avatars became old news.

The biggest forum out there is reddit and after that its the social media.

I can't picture a forum such as misc with real names attached to the posters.

bought the cut off shorts and mesh shorts like a week ago along with a bunch of tees since they had a clothing sale going on, plus they were on clearance.

Clothing quality is actually solid and stylish. Would buy again/10

95% of the supplements are fukking useless though, as everyone has started to figure out and in turn has stopped buying them. Yet they continue pouring tons of marketing $$ into advertising the supplements, but nothing is going to save them there. That's what's killing them the most imo.

If they would have focused on expanding and improving their clothing line + bodyspace, they would have made it. They could have kept gymshark at bay (no pun intended) because bb.com is the OG and had the means to capitalize on clothing.

Unfortunately this is 'the information age' where word can quickly spread on how useless those supplements really are.

Add to that you can buy anything from here substantially cheaper anywhere else on the internet.
