So do you freak out when you gain muscle because scale changes then? In fact how do you even put on muscle while trying to maintain weight? Recomping is the most useless and slowest method.

No, I don't freak out. I can see differences in the mirror. I fluctuate between 5-10 lbs depending on how strict I am with my diet. The mirror helps me understand what's going on. Sometimes I'll throw in a bout of PSMF or Keto, just to get things back on track if I see a bit of fat coming back.

For me, the most important part of working out is feeling good. Nothing feels better than achy muscles indicating you've done your best a couple days ago. Like today, my shoulders are on fire from my 50 benches presses followed by 150 14lb med-ball squat wall balls yesterday.

So if mirror is the final judge why does weight gain matter much unless you track tdee daily like I do

Can so stop harassing me with logic! It's just a mental fear, completely illogical. Certainly a shortcoming of mine. =) I try though.

ITT muzzichick forgets legz and silencespeaks are 50 and would develop bloodclots from lifting heavy due to advanced age.

Not my GF but we had a high level gymnast in weight training in High School.

She weighed 135 and did 225.

We also had the teen state champion powerlifter for 155 he could do a competition paused 255.

We have 60-70 year olds in CrossFit throwing around weight like nothing.

A 56-year-old recently qualified for the nationals in weightlifting. So yea.. I don't believe in the age thing. Even though I know you were just being cheeky.

Well she's a powerlifter so the form is geared toward lifting as much as possible. She only weighs like 105-110 lbs so relative to her body weight she's super strong.
