Well, I work taxes so I know all about trusts. If I won, the only person I'd tell is my boss, who is so self righteous, that he wouldn't tell a single soul.
I'd still work for a few weeks until most things were sorted away, but I'd buy a big ass safe vehicle because Lol @ dying on the way to work in a crash after winning the 900 mil lottery.
Anyways, all my friends and family, I'd pay off all of their mortgages and each family would get a set amount of money (yes, some more than others, deal with it).
After that I'd buy a fat ass house on Lake Washington, a few cars and then I'd figure out a low risk business to get into and that's probs where I'd be for the rest of my life. Sitting in my castle, living off the interest.
I'd also donate a shyt ton to the local animal shelters and set up a few animal hospitals and/or vets that gave out 100% free spays and neuters.
Oh, and buy a sky box at both seahawks and mariner stadiums.

Buy an assload of property in state college and Miami, building mansions on both. Become a full time student for the remainder of my life at Pennsylvania State University. Buy a private jet and travel with hot penn state sloots on my school vacations.
Unless I could marry girl from signature, then I would choose a similar but different path.
Ohh and donate primarily to the preservation of wildlife.

Give $ to people who were always there for me and I genuinely can call friend(maybe 4), give $ to the family I actually care about.
Delete all social media, have a lawyer call all my friends/family who would see some $ from me , move to Tennessee or Texas, go off the grid.
Buy my dad and I New Harley’s and ride around the west coast for a month, check out the wineries, ride bikes on pacific coast highway, camp out in the desert, but out my fav band who broke up for a show in a small venue and ivite other fans,
And just live my life n be happy.
Oh and donate millions to animal shelters

Hate to be that guy and link reddit but this is pretty much the perfect response:
https://amp.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/c...d_hear/chb38xf
Tried to paste the whole quote in a spoiler tag here but it’s too long. Just click the link for relevant info about claiming the prize, setting up trusts, etc
But anyways for me it would basically be:
-Retain a trusted financial advisor/CFP (I have a family member who founded a wealth management company who I would go straight to)
-Retain an attorney
-Claim the winnings anonymously as a lump sum
-Set up trust funds for family members
-Invest in a portfolio heavy in fixed income assets with wealth preservation and tax management as the main goal (already have like $500m after taxes, I don’t need to make a high return on investments. Even if I only get a 3-4% annual return that’s still $15-$20 million EVERY YEAR, minus capital gains tax)
-Obviously retire and never work another day in my life
-Hire personal trainers, nutritionists, doctors, etc for my wife and I to stay as healthy as humanly possible
-Travel the world, take in as many experiences as possible
-Donate anonymously to some good causes
-Become a booster for my alma mater and pay some 5 star high school kids to come play college football for us (sorta srs)
Hardest part would probably just be figuring out where to buy a house. With no career holding me down and practically unlimited money to travel to see family (or fly them out to my home) I could liveanywhere. Rather than buy a summer house and winter house, etc, I’d probably just have one home and rent places for extended vacations (winter in Fiji one year, somewhere else exotic the next). No idea where I’d pick as home base though.
Once I figure out where to live I’d hire “the help.” I’d have people to do the landscaping, to clean, maybe to cook once in a while, take care of the pool, everything. I’d bring in interior designers to pick out all the furniture and colors for the house. I’d let my wife bring them back in for the holidays to have all our decorating professionally done. Our home would look like something out of a magazine.
I wouldn’t go too crazy with cars but I’d probably have a nice Denali or something as a daily driver and then some sports car for the weekends.
