I know you wanted red but you need to tone it so it's more natural looking. Get a Wella toner and next time ask a girl to do it.
Also ends first then roots since your hair is longer

Google "irish hair" and look at the images, I think I came pretty damn close.

It's brown + red
The problem is that with bleach you remove the brown pigment, leaving only the underlying orange. Hence why I suggested a toner as a lack of the brown pigment is very noticeably unnatural irl even if it looks decent in pics.
A toner is an easy fix and will cost you about 5 dollars. I use Wella t18 but that's for light blonde, you will probably need a darker shade

I used bleach to lighten my medium-brown, and then I dyed it with Henna (Lawsonia inermis).

I don't think a toner will do chit, since Henna dyes the hair differently than regular dye.

And unlike what many might say about Henna, no it does not "wash out". Yes it's herbal but it's permanent, and just gets a bit less intense after many washes.

But you do seem to know things about hair color, and I thank you for your insight. srs

Will rep you after recharge.

I had no clue you used henna.

I wouldn't suggest a toner in that case as some henna derivatives labeled as henna dye can interact poorly with ammonia based dyes, don't wanna lose those luscious locks. If you feel it's too strong in person you still tone it down with a blue shampoo (fanola no-orange is great, despite the name it won't remove the orange) but I wouldn't mess too much as you don't want patchiness and colored shampoo can do that if left on for too long/not applied evenly.

Thanks.

I'm not going to do anything because I'm very satisfied now, as the bright orange hue has slightly faded, so it looks less intense / more natural.

But you are definitely knowledgeable when it comes to hair coloring.

PM sent btw.
