Correct. Losing a long relationship is like an amputation, but not a nice neat surgical one, it's a limb being torn off in machinery. It's bloody and messy and takes a long time to recover from. It's common to go back for one last fck, and to try to turn that into a rekindling. It never works. I've done it. Multiple times. It never works.

And now I am happily married to a good woman and we have two kids. Life does go on after a loss, and there are good women out there.

Oh, and get an STD check. Sorry but it's a possibility if there was some overlap. Lots of people don't leave their current job until they have a new job. It's the same thing for some people.

back when i started dating, it would start off great then after 3-4 months it would just go downhill and stress me tf out, then I would be feeling down when it never worked out. People who rely on other people for happiness are weak individuals imo. True happiness comes from within, and enjoying your own company. As soon as some girl starts pissing you off, puts stress on your life, replace them instantly, and treat every girl as just a bit of fun, something quite literally to do when you're bored.
