I think that asking women what they find attractive is the wrong approach in this context, because I think a lot of men neglect things that women find attractive like fashion, grooming and fitness. I know women can be indecisive about things, but the fashion and grooming things alone I see them gripe about consistently. I think saying they "settle" is a little harsh towards them.

The data is there, but I am saying they need to ask additional questions to give the data more meaning. As far as I know, there were no follow-up questions to the female population for further elaboration. So what seems to be what is happening, is people are providing their own explanation. I personally think the real answer will be more positive, but I could be wrong.

Adding to my original post in this thread: I got back from the Penguins game earlier (hockey) and there were roughly 18,000 people there. I saw quite a few couples. Even more reason to stop worrying so much about what is going on with Tinder, as I am sure most of those people didn't meet off of there.

I mean its not just tinder, this same pattern is found in all online dating, and yes something like half of relationships today begin from meeting online.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I haven't found any statistics that show that, and at best e-harmony states that 40% of Americans use online dating. Additionally, it also states that there are 5% more men than women who use it.

What I do see though, is that estimates show the majority of relationships will be started online, but that is like 10-15 years down the road.

Even if half do start online, there's half that don't.

all about location location location.. pics must be good quality outdoorsy eye appealing.. not trash selfies or pics with the fam

oh and irl im easily only like a 6-6.5/10

getting matches/dates is just about being better than the incels who dont even try or have too low iq to figure out matchmaking keys

Gave up on that chit. It's a guarantee that quality sloots match with 100% of guys they swipe right on so they can afford to just attention whore while waiting for a rich chad to message her. If anything it just proves there's a surplus of thirsty single guys all shooting above their league because this generation was taught to believe they can have anything and do anything because everyone gets a trophy

This. The average dude has no idea how to look or act attractive.

The main thing most dudes are lacking is personality.

For the others, height and partial baldness are the only thing that keeping them back.

If you're <6', lie on your profile and wear lifts. Boom, welcome to the top 20%.
If you're balding, shave it all.
If you have a weird alien skull, shave it anyway.

Take the statistic of most women finding 80% of men on Tinder to be under average and only 20% to be above average. It's a huge stretch to assume that this applies to real world settings too.

What if a disproportionate amount of deadbeats and low income-earning dudes join Tinder cause they're just the types of dudes more in line with a spray and pray reproductive strategy. What you'd expect to see is exactly that distribution even if women judged men 100% fairly i.e. 50% better and 50% worse than average.

Econ major btw.
I do agree with your theoretical premise but also point out that quality women have little need to resort to online dating, so your adverse selection problem probably cuts both ways

80/20 rule? Isn't that the "mullet standard" rule? 20% of the hair in the front, 80% in the back

concerning myself this just isnt true. Worked on the personality, got jacked for some years, kept going out, kept trying to be friendly, kept trying to tweak my personality even more, tried different races of women, tweaked the personality more, switched up clothing. Currently 28 and I realized something was off when I was in 5th grade. Been putting in WORK since I was 18 and I'm still by and large empty handed. The occasional obese or old woman. Thats where 99.9% of the interest comes from. Weirdly enough if I go across the pond to Europe or Asia it completely reverses (first world countries, and not green card money grabbers)

At this point its accept like the blue moon obese girl or just rot. I also work at bar, speaking to HUNDREDS of girls a night, and I've literally gotten no where. If it wasn't for anime, comics, tuner cars (planning on getting a STi or Supra later this year), and studying to be a Software Engineer Im not really sure what I'd be striving for. Its just not fun. Decided to give Tinder a run recently because real life simply hasn't worked at all in almost a year and a half. Every scheduled date flaked. Every.sing.etime. Lastly understand I fully get that life isn't fair and it just is what it is. However I think the implications this is going to have on the western world should concern us all.

How does this site not seriously **** people’s head? It must. I went on here all the time in highschool. Overthought everything, negative outlook, psyched myself out and never got girls.

Then I stopped and was a normal guy for the last few years. What do u know, life was good and I got girls fine. Every girl over 6 is not even close to unattainable. This negative **** has to make people miserable.
Think about all the normal guys who don’t care about being alpha, don’t worry about pua and this and that, and get girls. Some people gotta relax and stop being so delusionally negative.
No disrespect to you, just realizing this about the forum overall. Maybe I should stop reading these threads again before it gets to my head lol. Just be a normal dude. Lift, be social. Maybe you’ll be in this coveted 20%
