This is why I say not to confuse "company" as some real person that does things. Companies are the people that work and own them.

I had a boss one time in a review bring up something. It was a negative blotch, but after all my experience since then being in the hiring/management positions, it was not a big deal.
So, he brought up the incident like it happened recently. I flat out told him, "that happened 2 years ago." He frowned and said, no it didn't. I bring him proof and he is in disbelief but has to agree it was 2 years in the past. Evaluation turns out good and I get a raise after, but I quit 2 months after that evaluation. Fuk his dumbass.

I've learned over the years that since anything they have in writing can be used against you, if I ever get anything but a good review with no negatives or neutrals on it at all, I go find another job.

Think about it, we live in a world where calling someone male or female will possibly open you up to litigation. Combine that with unions that represent the laziest of employees in organizations (literally they represent people who INTENTIONALLY take advantage of the system) and you have a recipe for disaster.

Just look in State organizations. People do a half hour's worth of work in a 8 hour shift and get paid.

Idk it's pretty messed up especially in professional settings like state jobs. What is even worst is people who make tons of mistakes and nothing is ever said to them. After your probation period or too many mistakes they just terminate you.

A lot of companies per their HR policy have a raise cap. So if you go years without getting a raise you're not all of a sudden going to get the bump that you're worth. They'll likely do 10-15% (cap is probably 20%) which will be essentially nothing if you had been getting 3-5% per year. Since inflation is something like 2-4%/year ... that 10-15% raise you finally got at year 5 is actually less money than when you started.

This. Although it's pretty obvious I'm the favorite among my co-workers -- specifically the people from other departments who need my help regularly. I'm the person they go to because they don't want to go to anyone else. Most other people whine and give them grief. I regularly get praise from all angles and all departments. No brag at all because all I do is just what I'm supposed to without bitching or complaining, do it correctly and get it done in a timely manner. It's lame as fug how you can get so much praise for literally just doing what you are there to do, because others can't. Sad how I don't get any more money for it, doe

The irony is I have little job security because my manager is an egregious cocksucker cuckold (yes, literally) and has a negative opinion of me. I pretty much make it known to people all over he shouldn't be a manager in the first place. I guarantee I'm going to get let go the next recession. Oh well. So that's my story.

When I worked as a wagecell it's the guys that slacked off and didn't give a fuk that would be 'rewarded' with double time pay to catch up on their projects. While the guys that finished their work ahead of time were simply given more work to do.

That's why I work for myself now. The whole thing enraged me. And if you stand up for yourself and tried to say something about it they look at you like you're entitled.

100% of the time you were better off just to drive your job into the ground (by slacking off like crazy) then wait for your boss to start panicking and give you overtime to 'catch up'

That's my life there's not really anything you can say to a boss giving you work either. All the supervisors and bosses can do whatever they want. They can just sit on the internet or talk all day if they want.
