Dude the movie was absolute trash. I'm usually the same way but this film really made me angry they ruined a franchise I was really enjoying. Nah. I'm not comparing them from a technical standpoint. I'm doing so on the basis of the starring character being the only reason for the entire movie: Jackman cast perfectly as Wolverine, and Momoa finally lets Aquaman be a badass for the first time in...what, 60 years? At the very least since the weak-link Aquaman from Superfriends in the 80s.


Perfect lead casting for both, everything else was just window dressing that we're supposed to just roll with because.

In this case it's more about when Hollywood panders to the point where management ruins movies for 90% of the intended audience. There's a time and place for everything.
Look at Dr. Who. Jodie Whittaker was an awesome choice to play the Doctor. They managed to pull in more young female viewers without alienating too much of their male audience. It may not appeal to me as much as the older series (I thought Peter Capaldi was a fantastic Doctor Who), but it's doing fine. Dark Phoenix, not so much.

In the X-men TAS cartoon, rogue could never get with gambit due to her draining powers. But those anti mutant power collars were in abundance.
Why not just put one of those collars on rogue and go to town?
