Yup that's a very big part of it.

Nog goals. And like you said having a family was THE goal for most men. But it's not that simple anymore to get a good wife, etc.

More feminism, soy men and SJW types = less masculine

Almost everyone is being affected

Go to a place that has a high feminist or soy male atmosphere and see how masculine you can be.....not gonna happen

Only places that are safe now are gyms or construction sites srs

Men aren't seen as victims nor deserve mainstream media sympathy. Most men are worker bees suffering in silence. Most of all the sh*t work is/has to be done by men purely because of physical reasons and in most countries men are still expected to be primary providers, good lovers all while having the time to do everything else their partner wants.

Men have lower life expectancy due to harsher working requirements+stress and they have higher suicide rates. BRB women's day. It just annoys me how a males role is taken for granted and everyone is fine with it but the minute you ask the other side to follow anything close to a nuclear role and all hell breaks lose. You don't hear all these people bitching about male dominated work when it's a SH*T job that's grueling with average to below pay.

Then on top of all of that, masculinity is under attack in the western world. So you have these soy shells not getting laid, having no identity living online and never mentally maturing. This makes them even more susceptible to grim thoughts.

Don't feel bad for those women you think are somehow undesirable. You really see only attractive women being happy? Happiness has nothing to do with how someone looks on the outside. I swear this place is insane.

I'm not pretending this is anything more than the equivalence of bro science but whatya gonna do lol.

- Diagnoses of things like ADHD in kids have sky rocketed in recent years so therefore so has the prescribing of drugs like Ritalin and ******** to kids. Boys are more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD than girls. One reason I've read is that boys who have ADHD tend to exhibit it in different and more disruptive ways. Teachers identify it more easily. Drugged up kids (who are more often boys than girls) are suffering from side affects from the drugs they've been put on since they were really young. The vast, vast majority of school shooters fall into this category.

Other possible factors I've thought about:

- Men are 7 and a half times more likely than women to become gamblers. So gambling addiction - which completely destroys lives - is far more prevalent in men. In recent years, online gambling has exploded, meaning that habitual gambling has become far more common among young people.

Huge if true but I haven't seen evidence to suggest this.

I'd say it's the opposite. Back in the day, mediocrity for men was getting a job, supporting your family and being a great father and husband which are noble endeavours and very fulfilling. These days, these things don't seem to be valued so much and with social media and people portraying skewed images of their lives, more and more people seem to think that the only thing that's acceptable is becoming a baller/massive social success.

For women, of course, the things people aspire to be is skewed in the same way. It's now not much motherhood or even being a Marie Curie but being either Ali McBeal or something going down the road of what we see on Instagram, most of which isn't even real.

For sure, you're right to say that making it big is far easier today than it's ever been and we should be thankful to live in this time. Many people see it that way. But the definitions of "making something of yourself" are not what they used to be. I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad thing (though it probably is, all things considered but I'm not going to argue that point) but we're often trying to keep up with The Joneses when what we think The Joneses have isn't even what they have.

Top reasons would have to be 1) Internet causing social isolation. Back in the day there weren't many loners because even if you were a nerd in high school, you hung out with all the other nerds and still got that human bond connection. Nowadays, I can attest to it, you can virtually talk to people but it lacks that human connection that we deeply want to feel apart of a community and guys can find themselves becoming loners real quick. 2nd reason 2) would have to be due to dating apps/instagram for women. Thirsty whiteknights have inflated the egos of so many average and below average women that the collective standards as a whole have gone up. Our main purpose in life is to smash and reproduce, and if you can't even do that, you feel like a failure. This isn't as big a deal as number 1, however, because as long as you're taller than most women, you can eat right and go to the gym and easily look better than most men for the most part.

Right, taking responsibility for your own life is not only important but deeply fulfilling in itself. I do think you're understating the effect which trends in wider society have on people which they cannot avoid seeing and hearing just by virtue of existing. You can choose whether to take it to heart, of course.

With that being said, what would you say are the reasons for the situation outlined in the OP? It seems you might be suggesting that it's the effects of what happens to your life when you do not take responsibility for it. If so, why do you think this trend is occurring at such rapidly increasing levels? The trend is probably negligible in wider society as a whole but it seems certainly to be increasing to the extent that there have to be some underlying factors. What are they?

it's not always one's fault. there are outside factors that determine who you become as well. though obviously the sole factor is yourself. you can't always treat everyone the same.

for example,
person A:
-father, a cardboard box production worker, was murdered in front of him when he was 10
-his mother, a hotel cleaner, dies from cancer when he's 15
-sent to abusive aunt and uncle because no other living guardian
-bullied and gets beat up in highschool
-his sister kills herself when he turns 18

person B:
-never had anything bad in his childhood
-two parents, both have a great job
-his only "struggle" is studying hard in college

these two will obviously not have the same mental capacities or perspective of the world. or even the same brain chemistry. person A is probably really traumatically ****ed. in the end, yes everyone is responsible for themselves. but it's not so black and white to say that "oh you're life is bad? change it then." you must be living in ****ing fairyland if you think it's possible that everyone can change their life with a snap of a finger. some people die being retail or warehouse workers. that doesn't mean they didn't try to change their life. that could mean they tried really hard but failed, and need to make an income just to live. i know guys in their 60's and 70's that tried to succeed but failed.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

He didn’t even imply that, let alone say it.

Edit: I will point out that there is actually a higher rate of suicide among people in category B than in A, believe it or not, (it’s actually a fairly upper-middle class phenomenon as an overall trend...why is debatable...some say that when you’re dealing with actual problems, you’ve not got time to be neurotic, nor can you afford to) so I’m not agreeing with him or anything. Just saying that he absolutely did not say what you said he did.

The sole factor is one's self. One can either put their big boy pants on, and own their life... or choose to LDAR.

Edit : posts like this will always be ignored:https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...post1582444111

Because it is easier to congregate in "incel" threads and blame other people instead of working on one's own self.
that's not my point... but it's possible a good portion of the 6000 people that committed suicide in the OP is person A, as 6000 is a very tiny percent of americans betwen the ages 18-25.

I don’t believe that considering your circumstances to be barriers to living your life - even if true - is particularly helpful to yourself because then you’re telling yourself you may as well not even try, meaning that any small successes you may be able to salvage turn into nothing at all. However I wouldn’t dismiss the fact that they can exist for people so limitations on what they become isn’t always completely their own fault.

We know the problems. We know we need to restore gender balance, improve economic conditions, stop feeding our minds polluted social media, et al.

The major roadblock is collectivization. That's how women have managed to retain so much leverage. They influence each other for the good of their entire gender.

Seems like every time a man speaks up about men's issues, he's immediately shouted down by 10 WK's hoping to improve their standing with women. The only spokespeople we have are hiroshima nagasaki blackpill bros who have given up lol. That's not it, mane. We need rich white Chods to lead the charge. Those are the only people who will be taken seriously.

I think people in this thread are confusingtakingresponsibility withwho/whatis responsible....

Sorry, but, MANY factors, both internal and external, are responsible for shaping each and everyone of us. But in order to improve your life, you need totakeresponsibility for the situation you’re in and figure a way out.

It’s a subtle distinction but an important one.
