H1N1 wasn’t a fomite virus.

This is highly contagious.

There was no where near the number of swine flu patients in the same time scale as Covid 19.

The two aren’t even comparable. Hence nobody who knows what they’re taking about is comparing them.

Age matters because:

- Younger people have stronger immune systems, and are able to recover from diseases much more quickly than the elderly
- The exposure is likely to be much higher for various reasons - school, work, social functions

You have to assign a primary cause of death and it is done the same way for COVID and H1N1.

According to the GIMBE Foundation, about 100,000 Italians have contracted the virus, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported. That would bring back the country’s death rate closer to the global average of about 2%.

Remember why the death rate is so misleading - because of how flawed the tests are. Most people with mild cases are not being tested. The only way to get an accurate number of the death rate is to literally test everyone.

1918 Spanish flu situation is not analogous. There was a world war going on that made ideal conditions for the virus. There were no antibiotics either so if you got any sort of bacterial infection you were very vulnerable to the flu.

Are you thinking that millions will die from this thing?
