I think it will be up to our state governors on how soon and who among us will be able to go back to work. Some states may be out longer than others.

I too was furloughed.

My hope:

Restaurants, bars, etc. will start opening a a limited capacity in some states (those less affected) by the end of May

With widespread testing the virus will slowly move into check since it will be easier to quarantine those carrying

Hopefully the peak of the virus will pass in a half month - month. then from then on its about managing the spikes in the virus on a local level.

Despite my previous post I still agree with this. All the damages done to the US economy should at the very least be dissolved from our debt to China.

Doesn't change the rest of the economy is going to sh*t though and I'm still going to feel the after effects of it all just like everyone. LOL at thinking the only thing effecting you right now is just a 6 week long stretch of isolation.

How naive are you if that's what all you think this is doing to you no matter how much job security you have.

Well, some are effected because their favorite restaurants or gym are under forced shutdown. And that's about it.

But on the 'whole economy' part - the effects will be devastating, but this isn't a reason to take the spread of COVID-19 less seriously. What is this? "Economy is important so fu*k restrictions, if people die - they die, too bad so sad, but muh economy!"?

Bruh China tried to downplay the severity of this virus and silence doctors/medical personnel speaking out on it as long as they possibly could until it got well beyond hiding just to try and salvage their own reputation. If they had been upfront from the start and not banned any outside media from other countries investigating it then a huge majority of this could of been avoided... They need to pay.

You say Trump said don't worry but back when he banned all travel from China all the Liberals cried racism.

China is still lying about it to this day. They're claiming the US Army made it and put it in Wuhan.

You must still live at home with your parents. Many people have lost their incomes due to these forced closures of businesses. Bills, rent, loans, etc have to be paid, and people with kids already or have kids on the way can't just suddenly get rid of their kid to reduce costs. Millions have filed for unemployment already. This isn't just about restaurants or gyms.

He's a CCP shill with a severe case of TDS. No point in trying to speak sense into him but the reply is good for those unaware who may be lurking

Yes. Thats why only large populated states are doing social distancing(lol). The problem is everyone from those states are going to other states and spreading the virus.

On a side note, NJ has the second confirmed amount of cases, and today I seen a ton of out of state cars. I dont understand that, shouldnt people be leaving the hot zone? lol Or are people kind of stuck here now that alot of travel destinations are closed?
