Agree with OP, the novelty has wore off and no one is really getting the 'rona so no one cares now, it's boring

Still, months later, and I still don't know a single person who has Coronavirus personally, not saying it's not out there, just saying that statistically if it was sooooo bad I would know at least one person with a confirmed case and I do not

I had it. My gf had it. Several of my friends had it, and a couple are still recovering.

Yeah they have been relentless lately (like in the past 6-12 months) trying to get trump out of office and ruin America. They don't stop man. To just know how ****ed up these people are makes me sick and has hurt my mental health. Not just them but the lbgtq community are fuked up too.

Yeah 2-3 weeks it might relax idk. But then it could be all summer idk that as well.

I do think if it goes all summer it's going to get rough...hot in the cities and nothing to do and nowhere to go will be tough on people.

I have little to complain about all things considered...it's just more family time which I'm liking.

If I was out of work like so many, my anxiety would be really high because none of us have a very good insight as to what to expect in terms of timeframe.

Two weeks? Two months? Nobody knows.

I'd be real surprised if it was two weeks for NC based on what the governor has said and how cases are increasing here (doubled last week, eeeek).

We will have to accept reality and realize there is no going back to the old normal in the next year. That’s not saying we have to be locked down. New normal can look like 6h work days and school days, staggered schedules to allow for only 50% capacity in work place and in School. Hopefully people actually wear masks when out in public (if everyone does this... governments wouldn’t have excuses to keep extending lockdown, but 40-50% of people do not). No more night clubs or standing room at the bar, restaurants at half capacity (Sweden implemented this, for the fans out there).

Either that or we lift restrictions and see how hard **** can hit the fan.

They ran out of government assistance for small businesses on Thursday, 1 week after starting the program. Every bank still has thousands of unsubmitted applications. It was first come first served, not at all fair. The banks prioritized their favorite customers, and everyone else got fuked.

one of our bankers says they are still preparing applications in anticipation of the government re-funding the program, but as of now if your banker didn't like you your application is still on his desk

The purpose of the program was to pay employees wages during the 2 month shutdown, if you maintain your payroll you get to keep the funds

so everyone else is about to have a massive wave of layoffs since they are not getting paycheck protection funds

I know my company held back in anticipation of assistance, since we routinely chit on our bankers, we didn't get it, and the layoffs will start up next week.
