So your great master plan is to infect the whole population at once, so that the healthcare system gets overwhelmed and millions of people subsequently die? Sounds like such a great plan, much alpha.

It's a rerun anyways

1 in 5 New Yorkers May Have Had Covid-19, Antibody Tests Suggest

15,740 deaths from coronavirus in New York state.

Based on these testing methods, there is an estimated 2,700,000 people who have contracted and built immunity to the virus.

With that as our new denominator, the CFR becomes 0.59%

And Miami/Dade reports a 6% antibody infection rate, 165,000 cases. The 15x active infection figure in the article is an understatement - the tests took two weeks to carry out. Miami/Dade has under 300 deaths, a ~0.2% death rate (noticing a trend)?

the faster everyone gets over this the better it will be, all we are doing is prolonging the pain. You can build temporary hospitals like china and russia did, or use empty buildings to use as secondary recovery centers. Tell old people and people with pre-existing conditions to stay home and give them benefits if they need it, and let the young healthy people go to work...obviously keep social distancing like we are doing in grocery stores in every place of business..you can do everything we are doing now in a Macys as u can in a Kroger and be just as safe

Seeing how many people died in New York I don't see why other states would want to emulate their handling of the coronavirus, yeah a lot of their population now have immunity but it was at a great cost. I can understand reopening smaller less populated towns and cities right now, but I don't think that the lockdown measures should be ended everywhere all at the same time.

Average age of death
Average BMI of death
History of previous drug use
Pre-existing conditions

If this is how both sides act, imagine if a deadlier disease like MERS, Ebola, Smallpox, etc spread at the rate this virus is spreading.

Lol if you actually think The Rocks of the world are skewing the obesity numbers up significantly higher than they should be.

Yes they calculate obesity in a stupid way but you’re one dumb son of a bitch if you actually think the people inaccurately slipping into the obesity totals has any impact on the real number.

To be honest, if you went the body fat route of assessing this countries health the numbers would probably be worse.

All the skinny fat people in the “normal” range of BMI but really have 20%+ body fat.

Last I checked looking around with a quick eye test there was a lot more of those people than The Rock’s of the world out there.

I don't have the full figures either but I can say that I know 30%+ of the US population is obese not even taking into account of other comorbidities, and the numbers are very similar in other countries like the UK and Australia. The bottom line is there are just too many damn unhealthy people in the population for your plan to really work, since probably st least a third of the population has a somewhat significant risk of death.

Maybe after the coronavirus subsides, the world will finally adress this obesity/health crisis.

We can't save everyone. In fact, we can't save anyone. We have a treatment, and it's going to be the same treatment we have 6 months from now.

The entire goal of lockdowns was to "flatten the curve," meaning not have additional deaths because the hospitals couldn't see someone. Since our hospitals aren't even at half capacity, that means we've wasted "lockdown time."

Opening back up, the exact same people who would've gotten it will still get it. And those who will die will be the same who would've died. I don't understand how this is hard to grasp.

Locking down wasn't about preventing deaths to the virus. It was about preventing additional deaths.

At some point when everyone realized that we flattened the curve, someone decided to change it to "prevent the virus from spreading." That's a worthless goal. It's going to spread eventually. You know that whole exponential growth where 1 person turns into millions? Staying locked up never changes that. The only thing that does is immunity from already having it. Locking down just moves the date that happens.

My plan is simple;
If someone looks over 60, shoot on sight if they leave their house
If someone looks over 25% bf, shoot on sight if they leave their house

So they don't die ofc, we have to keep them inside, we need to protect our most vulnerable members of our society.

Hey what's up bro, I know you got a lot of stats and as a New Zealander who isn't allowed to engage in hate speech aka fun speech or have guns aka defend yourself, you therefore have a lot of time to sit around and do research, can you tell me the following:

Total number of people with Covid antibodies (total number infected NOT tested and confirmed)
Average age of death
Average BMI of death
History of previous drug use
Pre-existing conditions

Thank you

Agreed, many people are missing this key point. The opening would be gradual if anything, and people will be more inclined to use social distancing methods because damm near all of them know the seriousness of the situation by now.

Like a previous brah said, you can do the same **** you do at a grocery store at any other non essential store.

gradual, i think hotels and flights would be at 30% capacity for the first 3 months and then gradually build up to full capacity in mid 2021.

Heres another question..if there was a free vaccine tomorow that would prevent someone from getting the coronavirus...how many would take it?
