I'll risk a ban here to clarify what's going on here. If you are a 0 tolerance guy who takes a 5mg painkiller and gets lit than kratom might get you lit too. The difference is that you build up tolerance and can keep adding to painkillers up to 150mg a day eventually but with kratom any more than a normal dose will make you sick as chit. You can't keep adding to it like you can with painkillers

nicotine would be a more accurate statement here tbh

tons of guys can pick up and put down nicotine without issue, but there's just as many that pick it up and get addicted before they even know what happened. Now not saying its even as close to being as addictive as nicotine but there's also no numbers here and the only countries with addiction/rehab rates are where it istherecreational drug of choice. To deny the people in here and the thousands of anecdotes of srs withdrawal symptoms is just ignorant

Not that I know of. When I went to the UK I left mine at home and I've talked with another UK miscer about it through PM and pretty sure there is no legit way to get it.

I can only speak for myself man and I had 0 withdrawal symptoms. I was a real degenerate back in the day and did pretty much anything you can imagine. I'm very anti drug in general with the exceptions being green stuff, alcohol (still need to be very careful if you have an addictive personality) and kratom (if you count that). I'm pretty sensitive on this topic because it effects me so directly. I've got psoriatic arthritis in my back that has caused a congenital fusion in my lumbar spine, in my hands and starting to get in my knees. If I didn't have kratom I wouldn't be able to lift, play guitar or play with my son without a ton of pain. I could easily go to the doctor and get a rx for painkillers but I don't want to do that because they are so much more addictive, get you higher and don't even work as well for pain. If people keep talking about it like its a drug and get it banned my quality of life is gonna go down by a lot. I'll either be hurting all the time or on opioids and I don't want either of those things

My problem with his post is 1) He's wrong about how it works, it doesn't "release" your own body's endorphins, in fact 7-hydroxymitragynine (one of the active compounds in kratom) is 13x stronger than morphine. Saying things like that is misleading and you'll get a bunch of people saying "Hey it's all natural pain relief!", then you'll get a bunch of people addicted and, which leads to my next point...2) It's absolutely abusable, there's a **** ton of people out there who abuse it (including some in this thread), which leads to people who deal can deal with some really terrible WDs.

All this said, I agree with his sentiment about it, it's a Godsend for many and carries far less risk than its Rx counterparts, but let's call a spade a spade folks, it's a drug, it's abusable, and it's addictive. Be a good advocate and be upfront and honest, doing so doesn't make you anti-kratom.

Edit: We don't need to lie to keep something legal. In my opinion the benefits far outweigh the negatives, let those speak for themselves. The moment we start bending the truth is when the opposition will pounce because it's clear we are "uninformed" or just plain untruthful.

I don't have ADD/ADHD so can't truly comment on that but for SA it absolutely helps. And in my experience, it helped me even after discontinuation. Use it to teach you that interaction and being a social butterfly is a good and positive thing and not a crutch, and I think it's an awesome tool.

Edit: Also tried piracetam and it helped me but felt a little "stupid" on it. Kratom shouldn't make you feel that way. And to answer your Q about the military earlier, pretty sure it's on the "No-No" list but they will never know via drug test so take that for what it's worth.
Doesn't help me with any of the above. It's just a mild intoxicant to me. It does make anxiety worse after the comedown

No you slept like an angel because you CANNOT get addicted man stop lying.

Notsrs.

Edit: ^^^ Fair enough. There are a bunch of different active compounds in kratom so it definitely works differently in some people and not at all in others. We are all unique in our own ways, including biochemically. For me it is VERY relaxing and also helps me with productivity.

Kratom is very underrated in society

I don't do it more than 3x a week and in lower doses because just like anything else in life, you can get addicted to it whether physically or mentally

Treat it as any other drug

My body REALLY LIKES opiates so think I'll steer clear, used to take vics when I was younger. Rather not wake the dragon with kratom.

Interesting thread for sure.

I haven't taken kratom in 1.5 years but I remember it made me very relaxed and sociable (I'm introverted usually).

Only bad experience was taking 7-8 grams at once after which I became insanely nauseous

I used to mix it in 8 oz. of cold water and chug

Most major cities will have CBD/Kratom shops which offer deals to try different strains

Just mix into a bottle of water or juice and chug. Tastes awful but be a man and do it.

Don't mix with carbonated stuff, it will fizz up like crazy and will be almost undrinkable.

lol vics, thats like calling creatine actual OJ lol

I didnt have "withdraws" from kratom but I did have just as long/bad of a coming down effect as I did the positive effects. Usually would be moody and irritable for a couple hours after it peaked, and for a substance that only lasts about an hour then peaks its not worth the 2 hour come down.

yes definitely

i feel you on that one. been drinking too many energy drinks lately and my heart literally beats hard as fuk all the time that stimulates anxiety lol

kratom will help for sure. i used to take 6ish grams every day of the week last year but over the past few months have only used it when going out to the club or partying/socially stimulating situations. only had kratom like 3 times this entire quarantine. if u get addicted to ANYTHING easily then those bad habits will prob carry over. i can quit cold turkey anytime i want to, ive taken breaks for a couple of months before

Pennybutt is a terrible substance with ridiculous downregulation, tolerance formation, and awful sides. Also, it makes people act like idiots as their filter is broken in a way they can't perceive. You lose inhibition and think you are being natural but in reality it is just breaking your self monitoring tools. Do not recommend, better off with traditional GABA pills or booze

think of phenibut as a mild legal benzo and kratom as a mild legal opiate

both can cause withdrawals due to the respective drugs pathways. With that said I've read way more anecdotes of phenibut seeming to grab people by the nuts faster and harder than kratom

I love that kratom exists because it's basically heroin and enlightened internet red pill types are the ones killing themselves on it. Natural selection.

This thread actually reminded me that I still had some phenibut over here.

I used to take it every now and then and it would give me a chill buzz, but it takes a couple of hours to kick in so I only really ever felt the effect when I was on my own. The first few times I took it I wasn't sure if it even did fuk all, but after a couple of times you notice the difference.

I think people who have legit anxiety around people or in certain situations could benefit from stuff like Phenibut or Kratom, but I don't think that's the case for me so for the most part it just makes me feel a little fuzzy inside. I'll try it out some more though.

Never had withdrawal symptoms or side effects btw. But as I said, I only took every now and then so far.

I've had Kava twice, and both times my wife said she barely felt anything. I, on the other hand, had trouble standing up after sitting for 20 minutes. I typically have a very low threshold for pretty much anything, but even the guy who served me laughed joking "that the tiny sorority girls that come in do better than me". I've never thought about taking kratom outside of those circumstances, but I have wondered the benefits. arthritis, 4 knee surgeries, 1 ankle, and a hip surgery lol.
