Finally pulled the trigger after the corona virus thread and am now a complete convert. And just for anyone reading this I would consider myself a raging liberal ha! We can have guns too! If anything the current state of the world should teach us is that safety and security aren’t guaranteed. I think we should all be armed, conservatives, libs, black, white, brown whatever. And not to mention how fun mag dumping an AR is!

That DD is making my mouth water. Everyday for about the past month IVe consider just yoloing and hitting the buy button on a 300 blk out Pistol and a V7 16”. Thankfully they haven’t been in-stock at the same time ha!

I picked up an AR from a friend last night. Thanks to this thread I reached out to him to see if he had any he wanted to part with.

It's a Daniel Defense m4v5. Holosun red dot, geissele trigger, and a few other minor upgrades he did.

Next buying ammo and getting the scope and iron sights zero'd in.

ike, any thoughts on a solid bcg? this is going to be my only AR. I was looking at toolcraft. Any thoughts on a c-158 construction and any thoughts on the finishes?

Some folks have good luck on the Toolcraft. I'm sure that they're fine, but usually, in the AR world, if something is cheaper it's because corners are being cut. The tolerances might be looser, etc. I say that and a flock of seagulls wholovetheir toolcraft BCGs will come along. The "Gold Standard" is BCM.
