Yeah I didn't say it explicitly earlier but Armenia is more European than Turkey (today) is. Unfortunately, Erdogan is pissing on Ataturk's legacy (almost literally, given the position of his presidential palace and how it overlooks Ataturk's tomb) and embracing a religious rather than secular type of governance.

It's a shame really because Turkish women are wildly beautiful and proud - this is part of Turkey's post-WWI legacy. And they are being suffocated by religion.

We can already see the result of this sort of progression: take a look at Iran today compared with decades ago. It's a damned shame.
