I’m not sure what it’s like in the USA but I think it’s down to licensing.
I enjoy the nfl and am a packers fan but the time difference and the availability to watch it here in the uk limits my ability to invest into it. If I want to watch it I either have to pay high rates or stream it and even then it’s likely at awkward times.
Also you tend to like what you grew up with. I think if your a sports enthusiast given the chance you can be a fan of any sport

Having your most popular sports being invented in your country is not uncommon. Who was golf in scotland or soccer in England? Doesn't mean you have "disdain" for sports not from your country.

The top 3 sports in America were created in America. Even hockey, which is irrelevant in my state/region, was created in North America as part of your top 4 argument

Imagine guys like DK Metcalf, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Kobe, Calvin Johnson, etc. - that tier of athlete only exists in the US.
Just beacuse someone is top tier in one sport doesn't mean he would be top tier in other sports (especially in sports that ain't even similar).

We don't "only value" sports invented here as proven by the millions of people who watch sports not invented here.
Canada isn't part of the US boyo.

And ya, some people like soccer in America. It's basically a fringe sport . But you're in major denial if you think it comes close in popularity to the others

It's pure talent and lots and lots of hard work just to get recognized and get a small oportunity to show yourself in some big club. And that's just the begining.

Soccer is too sophisticated for Americans.
Americans are - on the whole - pretty simple-minded creatures and are more interested in violence and instant gratification than a game of strategy and tactics.
This is why - most - Amerians should never attempt to watch snooker and probably suck at chess.

My main point to you is that soccer is a huge deal in Croatia so your country naturally develops higher talent per capita and even totally than the U.S. would in this sport, because soccer is the opposite of a huge deal in US. Since soccer is not a big deal in the US, it barely develops any talent it may have in this particular sport. Having talent in soccer doesn't lead to much if any opportunity here

I just gave you an example of my country with underdeveloped infrastructure compared to idk France or Spain to prove that it's mostly about individuals and not infrastrcture.
Idk what you meant by developing talent. You are either born with it or not. Coaches can only sharpen it. Many kids want to play soccer profesionally, but only few succeed because others are simply not talented for it. And there is no such a thing as college soccer or school league or w/e. It's all about scouting. From young age if you are showing talent, you get scouted and transfered to bigger clubs. As I said, if you are not playing in bigger club by 18, you're done in 99% cases.
Anyone that wanted to play soccer and had required talent would be scouted no matter what. The reason this is rare in US is because your soccer is a joke compared to Europe or Latin America. Some nations are simply more talented for some sports.
And yeah, your point is somewhat true. Kids usually gravitate to popular sports. Soccer here and "football" in US. But going back to what you said (or that other ****) that if big US athlete stars played soccer instead of "football", hockey or w/e they would be at the top? If you think that Kobe, Jordan, Phelps or any other would succeed in soccer if they picked it at young age, then I'm sorry but you are fuking retarded.
Also we have been quite successful in many sports, but I doubt your narrow mind has ever heard of tennis, handball, waterpolo, alpine skiing and so on since you only care about 3 sports?
sry for tldr but I don't wanna argue anymore about soccer with people who know nothing about soccer
