400 years ago we thought the earth was flat and the sun revolved around us. To think our knowledge and understanding of physics is anything nearer to even the middle of all knowledge that can be learned, would be foolish.

It doesn't matter how long it takes the drones to get there. Solar sails, fusion reactors, the tech isn't that far off. Computer drones can drive around on Mars now. All we would need is the tech to keep embryos frozen forever and some kind of babysitting androids. We could start populating the galaxy in the very near future.

No but I have seen the images and know a bit about navigation and charts and maps etc so I can say that world is not flat.

What if NASA photoshops their photos. You have no way of knowing that. So basically you really cannot tell if the world is round or flat.

Now, if we forget the images and use your knowledge about navigation as sufficient, why can't you accept the vastly superior knowledge science has on how the laws of physics work? Their knowledge on physics is far greater than your knowledge on the world being round. Why then are you so confident in your knowledge and not in theirs?

In fact, in the 1600s, common knowledge was it's round, but it was thought that the sun revolved around the earth. This is where Galileos famous "Eppur si muove" (but it moves) comes from, when he was forced to renounce the earth moving around the sun by the church.

Newtons principia came out in the 1600's, Newtons laws do not work if the earth is flat. It was well established it was round by 1600's. In fact, it was postulated the earth was round by ancient greeks in approx 500 BC, and was established during the Hellenistic period in around 2-300 BC, as well as a number of properties about the earth.Possible but unlikely, under general relativity a wormhole requires negative mass to stay open (and we don't even know if such a thing exists), and closed time-like curves (which possibly exist). Most likely, if wormholes exist it's most likely on the Planck scale and could be responsible for phenomena such as quantum entanglement (which are ideas John Wheeler has put forward if i remember correctly)

A macroscopic wormhole is very, very unlikely, although not completely ruled out by General Relativity. A worm hole that is actually traversable for humans almost certainly isn't possible though, or at least most physicists think they are implausible. But if you're interested, Kip Thorne did a lot of fun work on wormholes, and the possibilities and limitations within the framework of general relativity.

My personal opinion is Aliens almost certainly exist. However, given the scope of the universe and the theoretically low probability of life emerging, i think most likely life will be so far away that it may not ever be physically possible to encounter other life directly. We may be able to encounter artefacts of other civilizations at some point, but i don't think we will ever actually encounter life head on. When you consider that even if you could travel at the speed of light the nearest planetary system would be a 4 year journey (at least to everyone else, for you no time would pass :-)), the possibility of some star-trek world where we can just nip to other planets is basically 0.

It could even be outside our light cone, for those who aren't into physics that means that the laws of physics basically forbid us from ever encountering or having any casual relation to anything outside of our light cone, given the theoretical maximum speed of causality (i.e the speed of light)

Its 2021 and literally every UFO video I've watched is potato quality that looks like it was filmed with a 1970s shoulder held 8mm video camera by someone with Tourette syndrome.

I have 3 brahs that are currently in aerospace and they laugh so hard at the country tripping themselves up over semantics. When the B2 was being tested, the amount of UFO reporting skyrocketed... only to come out as a U.S stealth aircraft decades later. The government even admitted to funding "UFO" movies and pseudo-documentaries to cover up the research while they were developing it lol.
