All science is theory and science fiction until its developed. Rockets, space travel, remote and wireless communication by audio/video, drones, AI, nuclear weapons and power, solar power, solar sails, augmented reality and VR, self driving cars were all impossible science fiction until they weren't. And that's off the top of my head.

There was zero evidence for a lot of what we theorized about natural and astrophysics. Einstein developed unprovable (at the time) theories around general relativity, time dilation, gravitational lensing, gravity waves in space time, and a lot of other concepts before most houses had flush toilets.

Time warping for an object or person relative to an observers differing inertial frame of reference when speed increases is a tough concept, but someone conceiving it, and ways to prove it, is the only reason your GPS works.

For the person traveling in that inertial frame of reference time would be experienced much differently. But you are right, using classical mechanics (the universe is a box with a stopwatch running in the background, you generate velocity by throwing matter behind you) interstellar travel is non-feasible on human time scales. Unless some of the un-provable concepts being theorized today are eventually proven and developed into tech.

They built a 25km long particle accelerator under France and Geneva to start proving parts of these theories. Which they then hope to develop into that tech. Like I said the groundwork was laid before we had flush toilets, things take time.

I don't care about stories, even if they are true stories with corroborating proof that they're irrefutably true, I really don't care.

I don't care about sh*tty worthless videos of a f*cking nondescript "object" that could be a square or a ball who knows because it's so badly videoed.

I don't care, even if it's 100% real and the government comes out and says "oh yeah for sure it was aliens", i just do not care.

Because denial.

Many people who are dismissive of the aliens possibility are terrified that it would be true

There will be a lesser peace on earth and then a greater peace one day.

Lesser peace means no more wars etc starvation and stuff, the greater peace will be when mankind lives in unity.

But we need to use technology to help humans instead of destroy humans.

Maybe then the others will see us as mature enough to be accepted.

Right now we are just a bunch of savages that oppress each other at any given opportunity

My thing is when ppl say "why are they hiding", when these navy guys say they've been seeing them everyday for the last two yrs. I wouldn't call that hiding.

Also ppl say "if they are able to travel such far distances why wouldn't they make themselves completely undetectable if thats what they want". Maybe they simply don't have tech or don't implement the tech into craft to make them invisible. Just because a civilization is advance in some ways doesn't mean they're advanced in all ways.

But seriously, it is the Chinese, and they are 100 years ahead of us. But at least we are 100 years ahead of them in allowing trans people to take medical leave to upgrade their penises.

If these things are from another place, they would most likely be unmanned drones looking out of curiosity as would we if we knew of another place with life and had the means to get there. We also would have no idea how long ago they were actually sent or how long they have been present. For all we know they could have been hovering around for hundreds of years. Maybe as our technology advances we are just becoming aware of their presence.

I don't necessarily believe all of that but if they are not man-made then everything is on the table. Its not dumb or gullible to think the answers are beyond our ability to comprehend.

Like another poster stated, everything is science fiction until it's not. Imagine if we got to see the world 2k years from now. We'd probably see things that would seem like magic right now.

why would you invent a warp drive and then ride around the planet you discovered at mach 30. the concept is so retarded its baffling. its like flying to another planet and flying around in this for a troll job.



the only reason you would send a manned craft is you invented near light speed or faster travel, why would you then engage in trolling. you could spirit bomb the whole planet by warp driving clean through it or you could ignore it entirely. everyone is retarded, srs.

conversely if you colonized the milky way over millions of years you would probably do it with small undetectable craft that are vastly more efficient and autonomous, the von neumann probe.



visiting an earth-like planet at the moment a species becomes space-faring is maybe a 10,000 year window on a 3.5 billion year time scale (in our case, being wildly generous we exist for another 9,900 years?) thats a 1 in 350,000 shot that you are there in the right window!

its quite possible aliens visited earth way before life ever existed- there are much older stars than ours closer to the galactic center. how then would you know to re-visit the planet? would you post up on every rock you found for billions of years? then when they invent the f4 phantom you start these random flybys? you only abduct crackheads in missouri?

I strongly recommend anyone who hasnt watch "close encounters of the third kind" (80s movie).

In the movie they wanted to distract the public where the aliens land....the wanted to create a false flag (military guy wrote VIRUS? on a chalkboard as one way to do that) also made people wear masks because air was supposedly poisonous (dont want to mention the spoiler).
