Ideally, we completely pull out ASAP and never look back but assure the new taliban leadership if anything they do negatively impacts the U.S., it’s citizens or allies we will absolutely glass the f*cking country.

Nobody is ever winning in that place, with that terrain, and against Pashtuns who grew up and live war. They live in caves and that is why they survive.

This reminds me of the soviet dog bomb story. Soviet trained dogs to run at tanks to blow up the enemy tanks. When it came to the time where the dogs were used, they were released and promptly ran at soviet tanks instead.
