Choice 1

Lose job + resources = lose any sort of control or power over my own life

Choice 2

Remain employed + acquire resources = Still have some control over my own life minus the mandatory vaxx in which taking it doesn't have any impact on my earnings

Given the fact that 80 percent of the population is vaxxed and the overwhelming majority of the population supports the vaxx there is nothing I can do about it

You don't get into the ring with Mike Tyson - you beat him at something else

And as I asked the other poster what are YOU doing personally besides posting on the misc? Genuinely curious. Are you starting a movement, getting into politics etc?

I'm pleased for several reasons

- The data shows that the vaccine is very successful in reducing the seriousness of Covid-19 infections.
- Every human on Earth is going to be infected with Covid-19 over the next few years so the additional protection is great.
- My chance of dying with covid is very unlikely but long covid is a concern, which against the vaccination addresses.
- My wife is a higher risk compared to me, so us both being vaccinated helps considerably.
- Not being vaccinated is going to be a colossal pain in the balls when pubs and restaurants finally open up in Sydney next month.

Look I’m not even arguing with you re the merits of the vaxx - I think it’s nuts to mandate a vaxx for an infection with a 99.997% survival rate or whatever it is. And I think it’s a dangerous overstep of power and a slippery slope.

Personally for me this just isn’t a battle I can take on right now. If I were a millionaire with a bunch of land or something I’d probably hold out. But that isn’t the case.

So going with choice number 2 allows me to hopefully put myself in a position one day where the government doesn’t have as much control over me. Would be hard to do this broke and unemployed.

Anyways I respect your decision to not get vaxxed and see your POV. Hopefully you’re in a better position than I am that allows you to refuse with less repercussions.

Right now? I hope I get taken out by Covid. I already had it and I got the 2 Pfizer vaccines. But part of me wishes I can just become hospitalized and placed on a ventilator before I slowly succumb to oblivion.
