Some English accents sound very classy and intellectual but some sound trashy.
Some American accents are very trashy too obviously

I think Americans pronounce words more clearly and correctly. I can barely understand some uk accents, especially Irish and Scottish.

Can’t argue

And that’s what I said English RP is Received Pronunciation eg speaking properly (my accent with a touch of northern short vowels). Can’t argue about others, although gentle Scots and Irish (and geordie) are GOAT
