which really isn't far because the guy is an injury scare every game. also doesn't have that killer instinct either although he is playing well.

55 points vs Washington.

LeKareem Chaser finally got the memo. AD is the captain now.

I agree, the game had no meaning in the grand scheme of things but...

unless there are extenuating circumstances (like an injury), winning is always better than losing.

So how does Zion +5000 for MVP make any sense, especially in the context of Anthony Davis being +2200? Is this the greatest long shot gift of all time? First in the conference, coming off injury, starting to dominate everyone - him being like 12th favorite with losers like Wardell Curry being +800 is mind boggling. I threw a bunch of cash on it despite knowing barely anything about basketball.

Have to keep in mind narratives. Zion isn't really being talked about and not a popular choice in the MVP race. Also his numbers don't really jump out and the success of the team has arguably to do alot with his teammates around him. Defensively he's not that good although when do we ever talk about defense in the MVP race. I also think people are not entirely sold on the Pelicans being as good as their record indicates. I think his odds have the potential to be higher though provided the Pelicans remain hot. If not, he'll be a footnote in the MVP race.

AD has better numbers and has been killing it on a team of bums, esp since Lebron is out. But the guy gets injured too much IMO to have a serious shot at MVP. Not to mention the Lakers suck.

Curry is having a historic season and arguably the best out of his career. People figure that the Warriors only get better from here on out. Not to mention it's really the Warriors bench that has been the culprit for their bad start, as well as Klay's very slow start, Poole playing like ass, etc. They won the championship last year and are an elite team regardless of how badly they started.

It's alright, I got Durant +2500 as a back-up.

Mitchell had one of the all-time great scoring performances in the NBA and ESPN is doing 24/7 coverage of that NFL player like Tom Brady just died.

Will be curious to see how they coexist considering only Lebron has been able to tame Kyrie

Fit is pretty bad honestly... Luka is the most ball dominant player in the NBA, now playing with Kyrie who's super ball dominant

Im not sure that Kyrie sticks around after this season... We'll have to see. Mavs took a massive gamble here, either this works out or they will have no assets left and Luka will wanna leave

Kyrie is a short-term asset and a long-term team killer.

Maybe if Luka moves to a SG position and Kyrie as PG it could work out, might give Luka some breathing from the load of running all the offense all the time, also there's a chance of getting a Brunson-like dynamic

Kyrie isn't and doesn't have to be super ball dominant at all. Otherwise how did it work in Cleveland? He can also play off-ball and as a spot up shooter but also take over when needed and lift some of the pressure off Luka.

Offensively they will be amazing but I think defense will be the biggest issue. But maybe they could stagger minutes. I'm still not quite sold on it because Kyrie is Kyrie at the end of the day. He either gets injured, has some issue with the team/management or underperforms comes the playoffs.

I am definitely a bit biased, but I see the Lakers going to the conference finals. I don't think they'll win, but I do think they'll get there.

The Bucks are gonna win the championship. I am kinda rooting for the Nuggets, but the Bucks are winning it.
