"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

You value something once it becomes human life and logically that happens at conception. Totally see your point. I don't necessarily value human life, I value a conscious experience.
Meaning, someone is worthy of our moral consideration once they have obtained a conscious experience and are expected to continue having one.
So yeah, that's where we will always disagree.

Plus, there's a dichotomous concept of mind at work here. Acting like mind somehow appears ex nihilo at some point in development, when consciousness is really a scaled up version of those processes already constitutive of life.
Back off, Warchild.

Once the child is born, it's a separate person with it's own protection under the law. Late term abortion is barbaric and immoral (even evil if you view things that way), but that's not a justification for making it illegal unless you can substantiate the fetus as a separate person with it's own legal rights. This is a matter of opinion, so if, in your opinion, a two cell zygote is actually a full separate person from the mother with it's own legal rights, then Ok, that's a defensible opinion, but it's just an opinion. By the point of birth, 99.99% of all people agree, so that's the point I would set so that it's unambiguous for everyone.I accept the disagreement, but the problem with drawing a line in the sand at any place other than conception is that you'll invariably exclude something unambiguously living. As I explained, my conditions for moral consideration are1. If they have already achieved a state of consciousness
2. If they are expected to regain their consciousness after an interruption.
So in the case of a coma, the family is morally right to pull the plug once diagnoses (and maybe a period of time) show that the person is no longer able to regain their consciousness. If there is very reasonable expectation the person will, then the family should not pull the plug.
Another main reason I'm against abortion but only after a certain point is for practical/legal application. If we did an outright ban on ALL abortion then millions of women would still get them, just under dangerous and illegal methods. I see this causing far more harm than good. I don't think a world can exist where it's outright banned and women are jailed/held accountable for getting it done illegally.

My post is in reaction to Ken’s general statement about women: “If the guy had cheated she would have said so, if the guy had hit her she would have say so. Women dont miss a chance to play the victim role”. That is not true in case of trauma bonding. The opposite happens and the victim will hide the abuse and protect the abuser.
I don’t know if that’s the case for OP’s friends situation.
And again I’m against abortion so I agree that was wrong regardless of their relationship circumstances.

Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Isn't it ironic you called her a "sloot wife", when he was the one who cheated/hit her?

Fortunately, late term abortions are very rare, and almost always done because of a serious problem with either the mother or the fetus. That is why the whole debate about "partial birth abortions" 25 years ago or whatever was about the health of the mother exceptions. If you ban it but allow for the exception, you're not really banning anything. There are only a tiny handful of rogue OB-GYNs that will do elective late term abortions, but it doesn't amount to anything in the aggregate.

Surprised there are so many simps White Knighting some thot based on a vague comment, especially here.
In today’s society it’s actually just as and probably more likely (when you look at the amount of sex women are having versus men) that she cheated and got knocked up by some Jamal and he didn’t want to be cuckolded by his whore wife, and that’s what he knows he did.

Thus, a good man, though a slave, is free; but a wicked man, though a king, is a slave. For he serves, not one man alone, but what is worse, as many masters as he has vices. - Saint Augustine

Stunned, I tried calling him right away but he didn't answer. Sent a text and told him I'm here for him whenever he's ready to talk. He replied thanks but just needs to be alone right now...
Feels badman, when he held my daughter when I saw him a couple weeks ago he started tearing up. Said how he can't wait to be a father.
He's a solid guy, world class kickboxer and honest hardworking man. I always thought his wife had crazy eyes.

That's the lesson here.
You should encourage him to never talk to her again or maybe in like ten years if it bothers him.
