I just got back to the US (Texas) from Italy and it truly ruined me for life SRS. I can never come back here. I'm now studying Italian and plan to live there half the year and be a traveling anesthetist the other half the year to pay for it. The food is all amazing, every single woman is a fuking straight up 10/10 and fit and graceful and elegant and feminine and they all dress so ****ing hot. I banged a 19 yr old Ukranian in Rome that was fleeing the war in Kyiv (love younger girls and she was a 10/10). I can't find a wife in this country and every single nerdy dude there has a 10/10 gf/wife. The lifestyle is also so laid back you'd get bored if you weren't trying to start a family and meet a wife you wouldn't be happy outside the main cities. Anzio was the best for 10s. Literally every single girl was a ****ing supermodel.

I have been to Italy about a dozen times and my mother is from Italy. You are looking at Italy through tourist goggles. Yeah the scenery is beautiful in some places, the food is tasty and there are tons of good looking women. So what. We have that right here in the US.

You think Italy is safe - how many illegal immigrants did you see from Africa? They have been pouring into the country for years already via the Mediterranean. They are all over the place especially in train and bus stations. Italians used to say stuff about the US being dangerous but there are places in Italy that are just as dangerous as the US. There are slums in Italy too. Dont kid yourself.

A few weeks ago my Italian coworker was ranting about the immigrants in the Milano station that were harassing him and his fiance. They kept eying her engagement ring and because she was blonde (she is Czech). They were terrified they were going to be beaten and robbed.

You haven't met the mind numbing slow and inconsistant Italian bureacracy which makes American bureacracy look fast. Or the Italian worker unions which can cripple the country whenever they feel like it.

Try going shopping for things that we take for granted in the US like big screen TVs and you will be shocked at the price because of the VAT and other insane taxes. Cars and fuel are stupid expensive. You think you are going to be driving a Benz there - more like a Fiat 500 and thats if you are lucky. Mass transit is not all wet kisses and sunshine.

As for life itself and the orientation toward the family, thats typical Mediterranean culture. Italians, Greeks, Portuguese and even the French are like this. If you go to areas in the US where there are a lot of Italians, everything you said still exists. Northern Europeans are LESS like this but are not quite as bad as in the US. The US culture is descended from the English who came to the US. If you go to the UK, you will see the exact same family orientation as in the US. In my experience Americans from the deep south are more like Italians in their family orientation than Yankees in the northeast.

The Germans openly refer to Italy and most of the Mediterranean countries as 3rd world countries because compared to northern Europe, they are. They dont really have a functioning economy which is why Italy and Greece had huge problems with the banks.

I don't really care about the economy because I would make my money in the US. I saw some African immigrants but very rarely. They can fuk right off.
