Today I did a session with an Asian family.

Their young teen son is beating them up, demanding money, and acting gangster, and they are traditional people from China.

I asked the boy what he wanted to be when he was say, twenty.

He said, "A millionaire"

My coworker said, "That's wonderful!" and I told her to hold on because I wanted to know HOW he would get the money.

Internet use should be monitored by parents. My kids are heavily restricted on their access. I was one of the first parents at my kids’ school to ban TikTok and their youtube has parental controls. I also check their history etc.

That said, I realize that it’s difficult to monitor and control. There is a chance that my kids get on it when they’re with friends, but that’s why I tell them why it’s no good and that the alternative options are better (quality of content in general). A lot of (very) Asian parents came from a country that controls everything and might not be aware that a free country means parenting, or what parenting 100% looks like. Society and government will not parent for you. Freedom is something difficult to adjust to when coming from authoritarian countries.

That is excellent and I'm going to bring that stuff up in therapy sessions with the family.

Tate has been on shows like Piers Morgan so your kid is watching some talk show and wow...my kid is smart! Meanwhile, Tate is preaching to convert to Islam so you can control bitches, lol.

These Chinese people do not speak English well and seem to have massive love for the boy, so it's a tough world they have entered.

The boy hit his mom over money, and he is going to get the smack down from me about that. I'm not even Chinese and I'm pissed that a Chinese kid would hit his mom, it seems really out of character.

Anyway, this boy also goes to school with all kinds of blacks who have guns and sells drugs, so he's under a lot of pressure to find out who he really is.

A few months ago I had an autistic Caribean kid who was a Tate fan, he tried to fight all of his teachers, lol.

As soon as he opened his mouth I asked him if he watched Tate and he said, yes.

I feel like a damn genius talking to these children.
