It's probably possible. But a young kid would Def. Need to be motivated and have a vision of a future that requires education - most kids don't like school. And they would probably need to isolate themselves to get away from Mom and dad - to get away from the tumultuousness

Why don't you have the ability to apply anything in a grand scale. There's something called micro economics. Then there is something called macro economics. They are separate because they entail two completely different problems.

Why can't people go without any drugs, alcohol, pain killers, etc? I don't do any of that. Why can't all of america do that? Why can't everyone be in shape and not eat a lot? Why can't people take care of their health? Why can't people just not steal, fight, drive properly, etc? I don't do anything illegal!

You act as if the entire human race is not unique and can go through the same process with the same results. Why doesn't everyone have a job?

Your success has nothing to do with anyone else. Trying to apply your special boy mindset means nothing in this argument.

Blows my mind how people can't remove themselves from an argument and acknowledge a broken system and on a scale of an entire nation/age group. It's actually shocking.

I was poor, but not because my parents were degenerates. We are 3rd world immigrants, and my parents basically hail Mary'd everything they owned plus they went into debt to get themselves and their kids residency here in the US. Once we got to this country we started from zero. But I still had a two parent household, a father that worked 3 jobs and never once complained, and a mother that worked full time and always made sure we had food and clothes on our back. Despite their lack of education my parents accomplished a lot with almost nothing. It would be disrespectful to their sacrifices in life for me to be anything less than what I am today.

Boomers and GenX miscers really do live in a fantasy land where either their personal experience and/or the past reality of America Circa 1940-2000 is still reality. If we're going about this the lazy way, sure. But the point of discussions such as this is to come to a concensus on whether there really is a problem, or if people are just getting weaker. I'd say it's a lot more of option 2 than option 1.

A simple answer, because their parents are shyt. It's a never ending cycle of dumb asses raising dumb asses. Within my immediate family, my siblings, my wife and her siblings, no one is a criminal, but that's about as far as my reach will extend. If everyone tried to be the best version of themselves there would be no issues. The problem goes back to people not wanting to put in the work, usually because their parents didn't teach them about hard work and delayed gratification.

depends on the industry and the corporation. there are good corporations that are in touch. usually whenever you see high leadership that is actually experienced in the field of work done by the corporation and not just some out of touch hire from general industry. there are so many niches of niches of niches in our economy that its not really that hard to find a place to fit in and be appreciated, the sweet spot is high revenue corps where you can still talk to the big wigs and not be scoffed at for even considering it.

but people only care about pay and trying to get jobs with industry titans and then complain when they are treated like cattle
