Heavens Above!

This is a 1963 comedy with Peter Sellers about a super nice minister who decides to start getting people to actually follow Christianity.

It ruins businesses and causes havoc.

Eventually, people convince him to get into a spaceship and they shoot him into space.

If Jesus was a real supernatural being and came back to Earth to reinforce the message, etc he would have to be extremely crafty to get into a position where people would believe him.

Alternately, like in the Passion of the Christ movie, some people, who were good, would just look at him and know who he was.

If Jesus wanted to be totally honest and just repeat his message, he would have to have a squad of people to help protect him or he would get killed again.

There's a famous pop singer from the 80s who was Prince's protege named Vanity who turned into a minister in my area. She opened her home to the homeless. You don't even have to open your home really--volunteer at a soup kitchen or bring them items. I posted that I don't agree with San Francisco's policies of provide insane handouts, even drugs, to the homeless, but I still cook for them and give them extra Halloween candy and other candy. I certainly don't need it.

When we studied this in Bible Study I made a point that we lived in a very wealthy community but you don't see the people taking vows of poverty.

I love the Passion of the Christ. I have it on DVD and watch it every Palm Sunday.
