Her exact story played on Law & Order a year or so before she made the accusations - right down to it happening in the lingerie section of Bergdorf Goodman. She went on national TV to tell her story and literally told Anderson Cooper in front of the entire world that "Rape is sexy." And she was a MASSIVE fan of the TV show on which her attacker was the star.

Like I said before... in a criminal case I never would have voted to convict. A conviction of sexual assault would be outrageous. This isn't criminal though. This is about who you believe more. Like I said, Trump could have easily won this if he maybe showed up, didn't confuse his ex wife with her, and didn't say it's fortunate that celebrities can get away with sexual assault... but he's an idiot and he can't help himself. Or maybe he's not an idiot and he purposefully sabotaged his own case. You explain it to me which one it is.

And once again, I wasn't on the jury and privy to hearing the evidence presented. That is the reason we have trials... everyone's opinion outside of the courthouse is worthless and less informed. But like I said, I never would have voted to convict. But that's not what a civil case is. It's simply who do you believe. And like I said, Trump killed his own credibility with the jurors with his statements. Claims she's not his type, yet can't tell her apart from his ex wife... right there it significantly hurts his defamation case. Says it's fortunate that celebrities can get away with sexual assault... right there it hurts his sexual assault case. When you make comments that stupid, it would be hard to believe you can actually win a civil case. Now that's all the jury heard from Trump since he didn't show up (another thing frowned upon by jurors), however E Jean Carroll testified. She obviously has her problems too but I didn't hear her testify so I don't know her story or how she came off on the the stand.

Using common sense there is no way....from what we know....that any jury should have ruled against Trump. Way too much time has passed and it was just a he said/she said. The fact it even went to a civil trial is bad enough. But to rule for the plaintiff?

That being said Trump did himself no favors with his deposition and some of this comments. He really can rub people the wrong way which is why imo if he is the Rep nominee....despite leading in some polls right now....he could never win POTUS.
